Hello VB community.

While going through some of my old stuff, I came across an in-box VB and decided to fire it up to see if it still worked. I cannot find any of the games, but I loaded it with batteries and tried to power it on.

I get nothing when I hit the on/off switch. No Nintendo load screen, no beep…nothing.

Does the VB require a game to boot? Any suggestions on where to start diagnostics to try and get the device in working order?

Thanks in advance.

Yea, you have to have a game in the machine for anything to happen on the screen.

Indeed and in a lot of cases even with a game inserted you might not see anything (you should hear the game sounds though!) if you are unlucky and got struck by the glitchy display problem.
