read it over then join and post comments if you would. it would be great to read some comments from some of this community’s members who actually own and enjoy the VB.

I think this is the best review I’ve ever read on the VB.

Actually I don’t think, this IS the best and most informative review I’ve ever read on the VB.

What a awful review. No games were covered, and it was just the stuff everyone already knew.

Overall, I thought that the review was thorough, as far as letting people know about the system goes, and an enjoyable read.

I just wonder where the author got the information: “The rarest game for the Virtual Boy is Waterworld”

I just can’t imagine where the writer would have gotten that from.

If you didn’t know anything about the virtual boy its great for that. But saying that, its missing the input of people who actually own one through choice.

I just wonder where the author got the information: “The rarest game for the Virtual Boy is Waterworld”

that line was updated so that it assumes far less.

gbatemp’s avg user is in their 20s and while they may have heard about the vb most know nothing about it. it was these gamers that the review was written for. the goal of the review was to inspire new gamers to try an old system. as a result it is a review of the system including a history, some tech specs, info on how to use it, info on how to make an informed purchase, etc. reviewing the games did not fit into the scope of the review, instead additional links were included so that the reader could use their own time to find out more about the games. i don’t see how the choice to review the system and not the games makes it an “awful review”.

Calling the review awful was a little harsh, and I shouldn’t have typed that. But I still don’t care for it, and highly doubt that it made any gbatemp user want to try the system. The review should have mentioned some of the games, you shouldn’t have to be given links to read about them on other sites.
