Original Post

It’s been a while, but coming soon is a small batch release of our amazing overseer’s game, Virtual Boy Insecticide.

There’s likely only going to be 25, if not 50 made of these. So, get them while you can.

The artwork was done by the magnificent Jacek! Who won the contest on here!

Virtual Boy Fishing CIB coming soon as well and maybe some restocks of some older releases. Keep an eye on the site. If you want to preorder a copy of these games you’re welcome to so you don’t miss out. Just shoot me an email through my website!

They will be $90 plus shipping.

Just put 2 more copies of this up! Come get em.

… maybe you can make some more Space Pinballs and/or Faceball Proto games CIB?

I would take one for sure 😃

I second more Faceball!

Got one… pretty crappy game actually, sorry 😀
But I like the music for the ant 🙂

Sorry for the double post, but one question:
Which module is it? It seems to fit very hard into the VB. Other modules have a bit more space.

I hope that’s sarcasm dude.

It’s not.

I’m sure you could have phrased that a little more gracefully dude, he put a lot of work into that game.

Well, I am sorry, to insult someone’s work, but apparently noone dares to speak it out. Creators also have to live with criticism. Yes, a general “the game is bad” is probably no good way to criticse a work.

I could also go more into details:
In my opinion:

The graphics are bad
The controls are super simple, no big variety in characters or in gameplay.
After 2 minutes the game went to my shelf and will not exit so fast from there.

Insecticide was my first Virtual Boy game. Since the creation of much of the code that is in the game that is about 10 years old, I have learned a whole bunch of stuff since then that I want to create now a good game in Chris’s Casino. While it is true that it took 10 years of hard work to make Insecticide, it was just basically a game whose sole purpose was to get my feet wet into Virtual Boy programming. But since it took 10 years, I wanted to have it released. I guess this was something I shouldn’t have wanted. I guess I should have asked for one boxed copy just for myself to have. Oh well. Lesson learned. I will still be working on Chris’s Casino.

It’s not that you were critical. Few creator’s have an ego that is so fragile that they can’t take constructive criticism. It’s that you were crass by calling it “pretty crappy” then when someone called you out on it maturely laid down a “sorry not sorry” and then felt the need to twist the knife. It’s an individual that made that game and put a lot of work into it, not Nintendo R&D1. No, it’s not as good as Wario Land. He already knows that. Being rude about it and cutting it apart is uncalled for. We *generally* have such civil discourse on this website, which is one thing I love about this community.

There is nothing to be ashamed about. You taking the time to learn it and keep persisting until you got it to where you wanted it to work is a great achievement, one that you should be proud of. I for one am envious that you were able to conceive a vision and create a playable product out of it. Getting the carts made wasn’t a mistake at all.

I’m impressed you finished it. Keep going. Can’t wait to see your Casino game CIB and any future games!

No lesson to have been learned here. I’m glad you made a physical copy. I intend on getting one eventually for my next series. I don’t care how basic a game may be, a lot of work that I could never do goes into them and I appreciate them for that. Keep up your work dude. I know I’m not alone in saying we appreciate what you do.

Echoing what others are saying, I’m glad you made that release, and look forward to future releases 🙂
