If you want to see how a virtual boy game would look like on the Nintendo 3DS just load the attached file.
It contains 3 MPO files created with pictures from Teleroboxer.

1. Turn 3DS off, take out sd card, put sd card in computer.
2. Copy the HNI_****.mpo files from the RAR into the DCIM/100NIN03 folder of your 3DS’s sd card.
3. Take sd card out of computer, put in 3DS, turn 3DS on.
4. From main menu go to Nintendo 3DS Camera>View Photos.
4. Enjoy the glasses-free 3D screenshots of Teleroboxer!

Have Fun

Fantastic job! Looks amazing!
Somebody needs to forward this file to Nintendo.

Good idea! The 3D effect does not work so nicely for me, though. On the third screen, the fists of your own robot look irritating. Is it just me?

Which program did you use to create the MPO files? We should be able to create such files for many other games from the 3D screenshots we got on the game pages. πŸ™‚

You can find the Programm here:

I took the screenshots for each eye with a emulator and combind it with this Stereo Maker Programm.

I like how the fists are looking and to be honest, this is the first time i can see how this game realy looks in 3D.
My 3D sight is not so good and on VB i never had a real good 3D Effect. 3DS saved me ^^
It is time for a VB Emulator in 3DS πŸ˜‰

Oh, I thought you could not see 3D at all. Great to hear that it’s working for you on 3DS! πŸ™‚

And yes, Mednafen 3DS port FTW! πŸ˜‰

Well on VB i always tought i can se almost no 3D but the 3DS and the 3D Cinema proves me otherwise ^^
I guess it is just not so strong like it should.
Maybe i should get my eye lasered to get it better.

i think a lot of the VB games were released before people really knew what they could do with the system. the ‘3D’ effect on most games isn’t really 3d but graphics designed on a visual plane that make them seem to go “into the background” or something like that. i really notice the depth of the 3d on the title screen for wario land and on mario’s face when you die. i also see it on the intro for panic bomber. you can see it in a lot of the games but its subtle and not nearly as good as what would have come if the system had lasted a few more years.

sometimes i have to close one eye and then open it again to realize that i am looking at 3d. where with the 3ds it was instantaneous, but then again they really tried to perfect what was going on with the 3ds.

did you see this: http://gbatemp.net/t287443-virtual-boy-3ds-mock-up

a bit of planetVB promotion thanks to your mock-ups.

I played the 3DS for the first time today, and I was really blown away. I seriously doubt Nintendo will port any Virtual Boy games to a Virtual Console service simply because there’s only a handful of games and a handful of fans. Nintendo doesn’t really revisit commercial failures, regardless of how popular said failure may have grown through word-of-mouth. A prime example would be the MOTHER/EarthBound series. If they just put EarthBound up on the VC, it would literally print money with minimal effort. But alas…

I think if they somehow did a recolor of the graphics, and then marketed it as revamped classics or something, it would be rad. Imagine full-color VB Wario Land. ‘Sup, wishful thinking!?

I just wanted to say I really enjoyed these shots and thought they turned out perfectly. I especially liked the depth of the “fight” screen.

Makes me hopeful that Nintendo will make the right choice and bring at least a few titles out of the VB’s library (like VB Wario Land) to the 3DS in some form or fashion.

Thanks for uploading these!
