I’ve had my virtual boy for about 2 months after buying one off ebay. It works perfectly and I’m hoping it’ll stay like that for as long as possible. haha
But my main concern is the stand. I’ve heard that those things break easily. When I don’t use my virtual boy, i just leave it in my room on the stand. Can the stand just give out one day and let my virtual boy drop to the floor?
I was thinking about just detaching it when not in use, but I feel like that will wear it out quickly.
Any suggestions?

No, it’s the opening and closing the stand that breaks it. If it did break though it would be okay, just buy the stand fix.kit.
