I am about to order a flashboy+, I browsed almost all the planetvb site, but I couldn’t manage to find the relased game’s roms…

where can I find them?

Why does everyone have to be so pompous? Sorry but roms are not hosted on this site due to potential litigation issues. Just use google to find released roms. PVB does host roms for homebrew and unreleased games. Just look under games and then homebrew. The only 2 unreleased game roms available are Bound High and Faceball.

I shared an “interesting” conversation that I had with someone. It wasn’t making fun of them. As for this thread, this guy just simply asked a question in a polite manner and received ignorant replies. What a great way to welcome newcomers to our community. ..

Yes^ and sadly the newcomer has not posted since. I hope those responses haven’t damaged his view if the community as a whole.

The problem is he’s asking for something that isn’t legal. If he had asked on any other internet forum the answers would be about the same. Its like code not to ask for ROMs for retail games.

That said the second post could have been a simple “Google it”

While they are illegal, I am 100% sure that all the Flashboy owners here have all the ROMs nonetheless! Don’t be so hypocritical please. The reason this site does not host the ROMs is especially because of fear of a shutdown due to the hosting. That is something I do not want to happen of course!

But to treat a new member to this community this way is very sad. I have always liked the community here, but this is not how I remember it to be to be honest.

If you want those ROMs you unfortunately have to look elsewhere.

Here is where I got all of my ROMs of the commercially released games for the Virtual Boy:

Also, if you stay an active member on this site for at least 6 months and make at least 10 posts in the forums, you will find that when you log into the site, all of the ROMs become available to you. This is a nice bonus to all loyal Virtual Boy community members.

Moreover I thought viual boy and his games were abandonware…

Yes, you need to have both conditions met in order to see the commercially released ROMs. Once you have both 10 posts as well as 6 months of time passed since you joined the site, when you log into the site and visit this page:

http://www.planetvb.com/modules/games/?r

and click on one of the commercially released games, you will be able to find the game’s ROM by clicking on the “Downloads” tab. Of course, these are the exact same ROMs that you can already find and obtain on that other site, to which I gave you the link.

As for the unreleased games, like Bound High!, Space Pinball, and Faceball, you should already be able to download them even without the two conditions being met:
