Hear me out on this one but a Tomba game on Virtual Boy.

I know a lot of what makes a Tomba game pop is those nice bright colorful graphics but thinking more about it Tomba is essentially a really nice looking 16 bit sidescrolling platformer with some 3D here and there. Also though, the charm of the game is what makes it so great. If done right it’s more than possible right? I was thinking how in the same way you could play Link’s Awakening without all the colors that make the others pop why not Tomba?

I was hoping to use some of the kind of background/foreground gimmicks like in Wario Land if I could. I guess the music wouldn’t stand up the previous two titles but it’s that sort of Gameboy approach on a series we haven’t seen in a while and in my opinion deserves more love, sort of a version that might of came out on a handheld back then if Sony had had one. I think I’m going to try and start some work on programing this regardless but I’d like to hear what you the expierenced members of the community think.

Is it possible? Would anyone be interested in such a project? Anyone have any ideas to help me out?

Cool, it’s gonna be a challenge; I wish I had skills but do not have any. If you complete it people will be raving about it for a long time.
