Hey guys, looking for CIB copies of the last few Japanese demos to complete my collection. Looking for Wario Land, Mario’s Tennis and Red Alarm. If you have either or all for sale, let me know. Paying top $$ πŸ™‚

Still looking and willing to pay a price I’d be embarrassed to admit :p

YUSS, just snagged a Japanese Wario Land demo from eBay πŸ™‚

4 down, two to go! Still looking for Japanese Red Alarm demo and Mario’s Tennis demo πŸ™‚

Bumping this one to the sidebar :p

There’s a red alarm demo on ebay now, but it’s like $500

I think he’s talking about the Japanese demo with the odd sticker ?

Ding ding ding, right you are sir. Looking for the Japanese demo versions of Red Alarm and Mario’s Tennis, with the “sample version” stickers on the boxes (the Red Alarm sticker being different from the rest of the bunch). I’d reflect that in the OP but I missed the editing window, doh!

Just get a regular red alarm, and print out one of those stickers and put it on there πŸ˜› haha, I kid..

Bumpin’ to the recently replied bar πŸ™‚

Bump πŸ˜‰

C’maannnnnnn

You’ll probably have to be extremely patient and persevering for those two, especially for the Mario’s Tennis one. I searched Yahoo! Auctions Japan for a good year and a half before the ones I now have popped up. Those are very likely much more rare than Virtual Bowling and Virtual Lab combined, but they don’t sell for much at all since most people don’t care about them.

Oh believe me my friend I’m well aware of the needle-in-haystack I’m seeking here…truth be told I don’t ever expect to find copies, but I’ll REALLY never find them if I don’t look!

This WTB thread really serves as more of a notice to other members that I’m actively seeking them, so that hopefully either directly or indirectly that will eventuallly lead to me finding copies. For example if someone like yourself were to stumble across copies of these games in your searches for other things in the future, hopefully you might think “I remember there was a guy on PlanetVB looking for these!” and drop a message like the one here πŸ™‚

On one hand I would really like to find these games, and on the other they are what keep me “actively collecting” for Virtual Boy, so I’m ok with it if it takes a long time to find them, I enjoy the search πŸ™‚

Okay, I just wanted to make sure you understood the rarity. For a while, I actually wasn’t even convinced that the Mario’s Tennis one was legit, as I couldn’t find a single photo of a real copy online.

I can certainly help you in your Japanese auction search, as I will probably fish for Virtual Boy stuff online for likely the rest of my life, so if something pops up that you need, I’ll drop you a line.

benjamin mario tennis one is legit .
I have had about 3 copy’s off it in the past
i will keep a eye open also and i have sources to help finding it in japan
Its true that they are very hard to find last year i didint have see 1 off mario tennis one ( and believe me i see allot japan games )

Well yeah, I know now that the Mario’s Tennis one is legit, since I have a copy of it in my collection.

Your collection, Mawa, is actually what made me doubt its existence for a while, since I know that was the last one you needed to complete your Japanese demo game collection, and you had been trying to complete yours long before I started trying to complete mine.

Yes that is correct that whas the last one
Evry where i looked i cant find it and like you know i have my ways in japan
before i whas looking for that one ( first i did not want them ) i had already 3 copy’s but have sold them all ;(

In my eyes this japan copy’s are really the hardest to get games for Virtual boy

Mawa, Benjamin, thank you both very much for your advice and insight. I’ll be seeking these until I eventually find them (even if it takes years), and I certainly appreciate any pointers or advice about searching the Japanese market, I lack experience there and could definitely use all the help I can get. Thanks guys πŸ™‚

The daily search continues *adjust binoculars*

Puttin’ ‘er back up to the top, hoping to find these babies in 2017 πŸ™‚
