Biography

Current employee of Nintendo Company Limited, having worked mainly in the development department during his time with the company.

Mashimo was born in Kyoto, Japan in 1966. Mashimo is fan of zombie films, and classic animation films. He graduated with a degree in visual design and began his career at Nintendo in 1988, initially working as a Graphic Artist for the Research & Development 1 Division.

Mashimo’s first projects at the company were designing Game Boy titles like Super Mario Land and F-1 Race. Mashimo would also go on to design the cult classic Kaeru no tame ni Kane wa Naru and none other than Super Metroid. Mashimo currently works on the production end, as a coordinator and supervisor for the company.
