I’m thinking you are correct. The cardboard sign I have is two sided and was displayed behind the VB unit on the counters at the EB stores. It was a very simple setup and not as elaborate as some of the displays I have seen in the past.

You might want to clarify in your listing though, there is an actual Virtual Boy display base exclusive to Japan that routinely goes for $1000+.

Thanks for the input. I updated the listing. Electronic Boutique probably had a stack of them in the back and put them to good use. I appreciate the clarification.
