Regardless of the situation, that 3D Printed case looks freakin’ rad. After I get paid, I forsee a 3D FB+ in my future.
I know there was some talk about replacement connectors at one point. Did that ever come to fruition? Did anyone actually find a suitable replacement, or do we still need to cannibalize?

That’s great news! Eagerly awaiting pictures!
How much do they cost to print? It’d be one step closer to no longer requiring donor cartridges, which is just plain fantastic news.

hmmm…interesting. Aren´t you scared that it will tip over when you move your body a bit during gameplay, or is that position on your chest stable enough?
I’ve always found it stable enough. Or maybe the blankets helped stabilize it as well? Plus I usually have a pillow under my head (not pictured) that changes the angle a little bit…

No wonder you were always falling asleep in class!!!
Hilariously enough, I *did* sleep a lot in classes, but it wasn’t always just VB related, heh.

Hey Uncle Tusker: The description on this page refers to it as BOUND HIGH.

Ack! This one caught me off guard. Ordered and paid!
Edit:// Am I correct to remember that Space Pinball was the prototype for Galactic pinball and is largely the same? But it has a different table as well?

I recommend it! The trick is to use the legs to prop the system up so that it rests on your forehead, not your nose. Extended comfort!
Don´t know exactly what you mean by “prop the system up”…how can it rest on my forehead?
Can you post a pic?
I’ll try to get one later. Here’s a horrible MS Paint version. In reality, your head would be on a pillow, so the angle for the VB stand isn’t as severe as the picture. The red-brown is the visor, with the top of the Virtual Boy visor resting on your forehead, keeping the system off the bridge of your nose. The green is the controller and the light brown is the cable. The grey is the VB stand. — the colors were chosen so I could reference them, haha.
It works much better in practice than it does in MSPaint. :p
In the end, you’ll figure out what works best for you. But in a dark room on a bed keeps light from leaking in around the edges of the visor.

The NES-styled classic GBA is my other favorite. Such an awesome design!
Great layouts! I love your displays.

I recently tried to use mine on a table “as recommended” and found it to be a pretty uncomfortable experience. Maybe I need a taller table or a smaller chair to really spread out, but I preferred my laying down position.

damn what a prices for sd gundami am happy that i have buy sd gundam in japan 3 years ago for about 36.000 yen about 350$
iff i am correct i have pay for my virtual bowling 60.000 yen about 575$ in japan 4 years agoi have buy them there in akihabra store sd gundam at superpatato and virtual bowling in a trader store.
Bigist plus for me whas that i first have seen the condition before i have buy themlast year when i whas again in japan the only had a space invaders for 28.000 yen i did not find any other off the 3 big 3 virtual boy games
Oh wow, great prices for you! Maybe if the USDollar becomes strong enough, I can fly to Japan and the savings vs. what I’d pay on eBay would be worth it, haha.
As pointed out, there’s a Gundam for about EUR$800 on a different country for eBay… so I can probably get one a year for the next few years and not feel too bad, if they’re available… but I think it’s time to calm down on the collection for a little while.
I bought the appropriately-sized GameBit (which might be this one; I don’t remember if VBs are 3.8 or the 2.x size) and used a Dremel to cut the thick part off. Then I ground a flathead slot into it — I drop the mutilated gamebit into the hole, then use a flathead screwdriver to turn it.
In retrospect, Guy Perfect’s solution is much better, haha.
I took a picture of my VB shelf this morning with my new addition. I need to take a picture with everything arranged better, but that’s for another time. My basement’s quite chaotic at the moment, but the VB is safe on its shelf.
Looking at the Jack Bros. box again, in daylight and after a good night’s sleep, I agree: it’s the nicest box I’ve ever seen for auction. Makes me feel a lot better about the purchase, haha.
A few of the game boxes have games in them, and some of the games are out — for instance, that Waterworld goes along with the Waterworld box. The only working VB in that pile is in the store box.
Some day I hope to display it all as nice as you guys do! But until then it gets the shelf, heh.

Here we go, that’s my display about Nintendo’s History.
Not only VB but it’s how i wanted it
Oh wow! I also love the 25th Mario Collection — all of the red units on the same shelf is very neat looking.
I also love the Triforce GBASP. I have one of those, too — They came out alongside Minnish Cap while I lived in Sydney and were very common, so I bought one. Now it’s one of the prizes in my collection, although I use it somewhat regularly, so it’s not in mint condition. The box was also a little beat up when I got it, but it’s better than not having one!

I just picked this guy up at the post office this morning.Very nice. That box looks like it is in very good condition, a very tough find indeed.
Given how nice the box was, I paid up quite a bit in the auction. I haven’t seen a box as nice as this on eBay in the last few months, so I said to myself: “With just a few clicks, I can complete my collection… Okay.” I can’t wait to get home and play it tonight!
The manual has a Blockbuster sticker on it, and the cartridge’s label is slightly torn, but both of these things can be replaced in time, given money. :p

Haaaa!!! It’s also the one i’m looking for!
My last U.S VB Game…^^
The game itself is out there if you’re willing to pay for it!

i think i already have post this one but here again.
its not evrything i own i have allot more Virtual boy items so i thinking about making a second cabinet like this full whit Virtual boy items ( i still have one standing here exact the same cabinet )
Mawa — there are three loose carts on the shelf together in your first picture. One of them looks like just a cartridge PCB. What are they? I can’t quite read the labels…
Man, there are some great collections here! I love seeing many copies of the “Extra Rare” games in peoples collections. Gives me hope for my own collection someday.
I’ll try to post a picture of my full collection tonight, but I just picked this guy up at the post office this morning. It’s the last game in my cartridge-complete US collection! *dances*
I have about half the boxes for other games including the Blockbuster Mario Tennis box, Waterworld and a few others. I don’t know if I’ll go box-complete after this just because’s pretty wallet-consuming, but I’m tempted.
That said, there are a bunch of Japanese games that I’m most interested in, so maybe I’ll start looking there next…

Having recently played Bound High for the first time, I would really say that it’s outstanding. Definitely check it out.
Wario’s a great platformer.
Mario Tennis shows the 3D effect really well.
Galactic Pinball has a lot of great content.
Awesome! All these years and there are still things left to discover. I wonder if there were any prototypes for Red City or Henry made? Maybe those are the ones “we’ll never know about”, haha.

That same seller has a fairly low-priced copy of Space Invaders… well, low for Space Invaders anyway:its a good price for space invaders but i see its in a bad condition the box
Given the normal price of Space Invaders, I’m tempted to take the hit and just have a crummy box, heh.
