Thanks man 🙂 What’s your channel?

You could call the series “Seeing Red”, “Reviews in Red”, “Virtual Views”, “The Headset Gazette”.

I suppose I should think of something like this for myself if I ever decide to get a YouTube channel going with game reviews etc.

All good ones! When you start your channel let me know. I’d love to support all you guys that have one.

I saw your post on Facebook. That really sucks, man.

Replacing the battery is fairly simple. Here’s how it’s done on a Game Boy game but the principle is the same for VB games.

Just watched the Panic Bomber review… Nice!

Also, just watched your “Bitsmas” episode as well, and thanks for the shout out!
Glad you liked the envelope surprise!

I’m going to make a thread soon of all my favorite VB items to look at with those glasses, maybe within the next week or so.

Looking forward to seeing all the upcoming VB reviews.

Thanks! I’m glad you got to see the Bitsmas video! I also loved your use of “VUE Year”. Totally stealing that! lol The envelope surprise was great! I wore them around the house looking at everything XD I would love to see what you enjoyed looking at because I’ll wind up going around trying to find things to look at too.

I’m hoping to have the next review up Monday the latest. I need to play Super Meat Boy for another review now since Team Meat just sent me a review code lol.

Such a damn shame about that Ben. I would give both my ovaries for that damn game to surface (even if we had to pay for rom access).

Only hopes and dreams on my end. I wish we could discover more lost VB goodies like this. I say we all dress like ninjas and break into Nintendo of Japan’s vault and snoop around lol

Awesome! Thanks for sharing! Gonna give it a listen at work later.

Oh man. I’d love one of those eventually. That is sexy my friend.

This one really is one of the best now with the DX treatment!!

If I download the IPS file from that link, apply it to a Super Mario Land 2 ROM, and then try to run it in BGB, I get the error:

loading rom succeeded with warnings
ROM checksum fails.
A real gameboy wouldn’t care.

And then it doesn’t let me play the game at all. What would be a work-around for this?

I can send you my patched file if you wanna try that.

I have a fondness for the games most call bad or shitty. I bet I’ll wind up enjoying it XD

Definitely, that’s why I recommended it. Please review Water World next! 🙂

I’ve got Galactic Pinball in the works next but I will do Waterworld afterwards 🙂

Would you be alright with me using it, perhaps?

Agreed. They gave the same treatment to the first one as well.

I hate how poorly underrepresented the VB is at these events. When I did AVGC the last two years I brought the VB/VG and it got a lot of attention. The curiosity is there for plenty of people.

I had a bunch of friends go to MAGfest this weekend and one of them was even working security. I need to make it one year to MAGfest. TooManyGames is also on my list as is the Portland Retro Gaming Expo.

That is a neat idea! I don’t think I have the patience to do that with all my games though..

I was planning on building sort of like a picture frame with little “shelves” built in, so I can line them all up in the frame and hang the whole thing on the wall. I was thinking without a glass front so I could just pull a game out if I wanted to play it.

If you don’t feel like building anything from scratch, look into shot glass displays. They are usually perfect for most smaller games for handhelds.

Oh wow I love that! I just use acrylic nail polish stands for my loose games. I haven’t figured out how I wanna display my VB games yet. Once I get them all I’ll work on boxes for them.
