Here is Release 1.0.0.5.
– Fixes some minor issues
– Activates Firmware updates

As always, you can also update through the application.

The firmware update uses avrdude in the background so there shouldn’t be any issues. You want to be careful though. Don’t be inpatient and do something crazy like closing the application, restarting your PC or something like that. There is a log button in the top-bar just left of the “minimize” button. You can press it to see what’s going on in the background. Make sure you use the correct version (prototype vs production). If you are not sure what version you need you most likely want the production version.

I also simplified the release process for new firmware versions. This should enable Kevin to do these more often.

Here is Release 1.0.0.4.
– Hopefully fixes the bug where the application crashes on startup
– Optimizes the detection of HF32 via USB
— Adds logging to HF32 detection
— Adds retry to check on a port multiple times
— Saves the last successfully used port and tries that on first next time
– Changes the flow of firmware updates (Check is necessary before update)
– Checks if the firmware version is actually higher and not just different

I did test the firmware update and it worked fine. However, I’m waiting for Kevins ok before activating it.

Here is Release 1.0.0.3.
– Adds icon import/converter
– Hopefully finally maybe fixes display on high DPI monitors
– Logs last crash to lastCrash.txt

It would be great if someone who has problems starting the application could start this version and send me the contents of the “lastCrash.txt” that is created after the crash.

Here is Release 1.0.0.2.
– Fixes problem where the application crashed during label import
– Adds feature to convert bitmaps to label without having a SD card plugged in
– Allows to set the tolerance during label conversion to support messy labels
– Hopefully fixes display on high DPI monitors
– Fixes some minor issues with the USB connection

I also spend some time writing a release script that is configuring everything and building the zip files for me. You can get the new version from the zip files below or hit the “Check for Updates…” button in the Help menu.

It should still start. I had someone else reporting a problem like this. I will add some more logging into a future release to see where it’s coming from.

The one from the bottom of this page seems to work: https://discordapp.com/invite/qvxTuRB

Speaking of discord, does anyone have a link to the planet VB discord? I somehow lost it since my link isn’t working and I can’t find a new link anywhere…

All of them are gone btw.

All of them are gone btw.

If you are waiting for one of the remaining games please check you PMs.

I agree, it was a very cool idea

Yours is my favorite, the conversion turned out so great.

Got more labels today. Will prepare the final copies over the weekend. I have one person not responding, so there might be one last chance if someone still wants one.

Hi Thunderstruck

I think that we know each other from a few years back but I am not sure. I missed out on Space Invaders. Will you be making any more?

Regards,

Steven AKA thitherton

I’ve send you a PM.

That’s pretty cool. Will try to have a look tomorrow. Thanks for dumping.

Status update:
10 Copies are prepared and ready to go.
5 more will be prepared next week.
Everyone has been contacted with payment information.

I can extract them for you I guess. Depends if you want them recorded from hardware or from an emulator.

Hey, sorry for not responding earlier, I kind of lost track because I was out of town. Answered your PM though!

Cheers

Hi,
I sent a PM 2 days ago. Am I lucky enough to be among the future owner of this release? Anyway, thanks to all the contributors who make the VB and every retro consoles still alive! 🙂

I ordered a few more boxes. I have to check on the weekend but almost everybody should get one. Quaze for sure though.

No mine fits pretty regularly into the VB, I’ve never noticed it being tight.

The info I think may be on this forum, I don’t have time to do the forum wide search thing. Like I said, I remember someone posting a picture of the in progress work. I can’t remember all the details, we’re going back a few years =P

My guess is Anon did the cart as well but it could’ve been Minestorm since he was doing Flashboys and stuff at the time. Just a guess though.

I think you are remembering Faceball.

I never looked into it but you could try using the debug version of Reality Boy.

I got the greeting messages from almost everybody. Will prepare the ROMs on the weekend and make everything ready to be sent out. Will send inform everyone where to send the money afterwards.

I have a couple of people asking for copies. It only makes sense to produce more if at least 3 more want one. That’s the last chance to get one. There won’t be any after those.
