RetroOnyx have announced HyperBoy, a new single game 32MBit Virtual Boy flash cart. It’s based on RetroOnyx’s HyperFlash32 design, but drops the eInk screen, cap touch buttons, haptic feedback, and SD card to reduce cost and bring a cheaper flash cart out to Virtual Boy gamers. Think FlashBoy Plus but with twice the ROM space, more SRAM and no save battery needed.

Preorders for a limit run of the cartridge are open now! Deliveries are set to start in approximately October and run through December.

Features overview:

  • 32 MBit Flash memory
  • 32k x 8 nvSRAM
  • Aluminum anodized covers
  • 3D printed carbon fiber frame
  • Laser etched graphics
  • USB port for game loading
