alright, the demand for flashboys is unbelievable. the complete upcoming fourth batch has already been preordered. i only have about a dozen donor games left to build those, though, so i need at least 20 more vl baseballs (or other cheap games). actually i need as many as possible to have enough for a possible fifth batch. so if anyone is sitting on a box of vl baseballs, please sell those to me! for enough games, i could also trade for a flashboy. πŸ˜‰

Does it require Baseball, or can it be any other game as well?

Can’t U produce plastic cases? Or U use connector?

it could also be any other one, it’s just that vl baseball is so cheap.

it’s possible (but not cheap) to reproduce the plastic cases, but unfortunately it is not possible to make custom connectors, so we have to sacrifice carts for that. πŸ™

Well I have a spare Mario Tennis (or 2)

Does donating bump me to the front of the line? πŸ˜›

What if for the 5th batch people had to supply a Baseball cart or whatever cart. Then that person would be guaranteed a Flash boy.

This guy has a dozen for sale.

Perhaps he has more not listed.

i am not sure how much it’d be for shipping, but i don’t think it’s profitable to send only two carts.

that’ll only be a solution if i can’t get any more carts, because it would be more expensive for you guys (extra costs for donor games plus shipping them to me) and more work. also i like to do batch work, like cutting all cases on a single evening, instead of always getting out the equipment for a single cart. πŸ˜‰

Well if it gets me a Flashboy faster the shipping pays for itself!

I will certainly keep an eye open for bulk carts though!

I think it could be good for the people who supplies a card to get preference πŸ™‚

yes, people got and still get that in return.
that’s for multiple games, though, it does not make much sense to send single games due to shipping costs.

good news: i spent $600 on donor games and will have enough for a fourth and even fifth batch of flashboys. πŸ™‚

bad news: due to my high costs (also going to buy usb cables for another ~€100), the flashboy will become a bit more expensive, probably €80.

there’s currently no further flashboy batch planned, but i am still looking for carts for a blox 2 cart release! does anyone have some? loose carts (with dust cover) are fine now, since complete games became much rarer again lately.

I definitely buy one if this batch a save battery was added. I can’t help, but feel we are depeleting the world VB cartridge sources for a flashcart that is one step away from being perfect.

That’s in hope I get to play Dragon Hopper some day or some great homebrew that requires one.

What you need to do is try and find if former developers have any stack laying around that they think are worth nothing.

As someone who donated 2 games, yes… if anyone out there can offer up carts for the project….. *please* do!

Just think, you offer carts, and then have the opportunity to play games you currently *don’t* have…
I personally can’t wait to try space invaders, and try out the homebrew stuff.

if i can get a flash boy i will sacrifice my own mario tennis for it
