Hey everyone,

Reading up on the Virtual Boy, I’m concerned that hunching over to play it will be a problem. Unfortunately, Nintendo never released a head strap for the VB, but I heard that you guys have made some. What is the best way to make a head strap for the Virtual Boy? I would like it to be very cheap to make and hopefully not require opening up the system. Thanks. 🙂

The References\Workshop section of the site has some guides.

I’ve never understood the need for a head-mounted VB. What’s the point if the VB is too fragile to be moved while being used? Not to mention it’s not true virtual reality either.

I think that if you can’t stand the original stand (pun not intended), the Lamp-O-Tron is the safest and most comfortable choice both for you and your VB.

Note: I have only ever used the VB with the original stand.

I myself have found that my recliner works great. I just recline all the way back and place the headset (no stand) on my face and it just balances on my nose.

This position also makes the controller position very comfortable.

you’ll only hunch over if your desk is much lower than your chair. i play at my computer desk, always keep my chair really low anyways, and never have any issues.

you might want to looking into doing a lamp stand mod. some of those adjustable stands will allow you to position the vb anywhere you want it.
