Since Protoman85’s review, I’ve had a few folk asking me to make them Bound High carts.

I will do it, but I won’t take money.

I’ll accept 2 donor carts. One, I will use to make your BH cart, and the other is payment (which I’ll use to make FlashBoy’s).

Does that sound OK ?

Just out of curiosity, have you thought about designing a label for the carts?

I currently don’t have two spare carts but should have next week when a couple land from eBay.

I only remember that one of them was baseball, not even sure what the other was now!!

I’m pretty sure that after watching that superb review video, Bound High will destroy them both!

And, slightly off-topic, but since you mentioned FlashBoys, how much do you charge to make those?

It’d be really convenient if I could just send one cartridge for Bound High, another for a FlashBoy, and then pay for the FlashBoy to be made.

If that is a possibility, of course.

Do the carts need dust caps?

I’m also curious to know if you guys will design a label for the cart. I’m rather interested in picking a few of these up. Will you be asking for money to cover the cost of shipping back to us?

$100 USD. includes the FB+, labeled with a FB+ sticker, and a mini-usb cable. The software for flashing can be found here at PlanetVB. Its worth every penny, it’s a top quality product.

I’m not good at art. But if someone else designs one, I’ll label the cart with it.

It’d also be good if folk could remove the labels before sending the donor carts. It’s so hard removing some of the old ‘baked on’ one’s.

Here’s a cover sticker I made a long time ago… I also have the PSD file (Adobe Photoshop) if anyone would like to modify it. I think the forum software also degrades the quality, so let me know if you want it and I’ll zip/post it.

keep me posted on the availability of a sticker for the cart. i asked if i could get “a couple” because i want to give 1 or 2 as gifts. i understand if you want to only make 1 per person.

it just means that the shell of an actual game will be used, so you are “donating” a cart. try to pick two games you don’t care about, like don’t send jack bros. =)

I would assume the female pinout that’s attached to the PCB would be needed. Otherwise, we could have just mass-produced cartridge shells by now for Homebrew carts and flashboys. As it stands, I think there is extreme difficulty and/or high expense to produce PCBs with the VB cart female connector.

I think Richard would re-flash the existing chips with the bound high rom, I could be (and most likely am) wrong, but thats how i see it, otherwise he would be giving away a flashboy innerds but without the usb port, and doing a heap of soldering etc for free as there has been no mention of payment, only 2 donar carts.
Am i right in thinking that any game could have its eproms re-flashed?
