Ah geez….. I just accidentally knocked my VB over with my chair, it dropped about 3 feet (onto hardwood floor of course). I tested the console and it seems fine. Wondering if anyone else has done this before? Do I have to worry about alignment issues in the future?

My a-hole cat knocked my virtual girl over a couple times (only once with the displays in though). It still works fine and luckily no alignment issues as of yet. Nintendo has a pretty high standard on durability (at least in older systems) so I think you should be ok

Kicked mine of the couch once. Nothing broke. It is a very robust system after all.

If your displays have never been solider fixed they will glitch sooner or later none the less.

Glad to hear no issues from knocking it over.. I was just concerned because of some people talking about mirror alignment issues. What better way to mess up your mirror alignment than to drop it on the ground lol. RunnerPack soldered my displays for me already so I’m safe in that area at least. Thanks for your responses, I feel better now.

I left mine turned on for a week before and didn’t even notice. It ran 24/7 with Wario in it. A week later I sat down to play it and laughed because I could have sworn I turned it off the week before.

I’ve also moved it and bumped it around while its in use. It seems like a robust system even tho it has moving parts.

This is why I always keep my VB on the floor. So if I or the cat or the dog knock it over, it doesn’t have far to land. Hopefully Runnerpack will still be around in case my display starts to glitch up, though. After almost 20 years, I still have an actual working with nothing altered from the day it left the factory (at least I assume so…)

Yeah, I think from now on I’ll keep it in a place that is less traffic, and on the floor. I usually keep it covered anyway to keep dust out of it.
