Original Post

First of all, I’m new to the forums so I would like to say hello to all. After several years of collecting off and on for the Virtual Boy I have finally completed my library. I have every game released in the United States in box and a boxed Virtual Boy. I also have Bound High in box which I think is actually my favorite Virtual Boy game. My collection has been almost complete for about a year but I could never find Water World boxed, American Jack Bros boxed or the American box for Mario’s Tennis. I finally found Water World and Jack Bros and just yesterday I finally got an American box for Mario’s Tennis. If anyone would like to see pictures let me know and I can post some. I’m really proud because this is the first (and probably only) time that I’ve actually collected all the games for a console, and I have the boxes and manuals to boot!

So you have Space Invaders Virtual Collection, SD Gundam Dimension Wars, Virtual Lab and Virtual Bowling too? Cool.

aaaah no. I’ve only collected the games that were released in North America. I took one look at how much some of those Japanese games cost and decided North America would be my limit.

I don’t think I’ll ever own a CIB US Jack Bros. All the ones I’ve seen have been too rich for my blood.

Good job, must be cool to have a complete US collection.

Congrats on the collection and welcome! You could always purchase a flashboy + and be able to enjoy all of those Japan only releases. You can even purchase a box to make it CIB. 🙂

Congrats on completing your collection! Regardless the console, it can be so difficult for people to get complete collections for a console. I felt the same way when I completed my Nintendo handheld/portable collection.

Don’t give up on the Japanese games just yet. Sometimes you find them for a fair price if you happen to be on eBay on the right day.

I’ve only seen Virtual Bowling on Ebay once and it was CIB for 1200 bucks. Out of curiosity I looked up Virtual Lab and there is a CIB one on Ebay right now but its 800 dollars 🙁

Here’s a pic of the whole collection together. Eventually I’m going to try and beat each of these games, at least…the ones that can be beaten.

Complete collection pics like that always depress me, only 14 measly games released in the US. Sure, most are good, but it’s so pitifully small. Even the Sega 32X has more US games (I think 31, not counting CD games).

Congrats on finishing the set though.
