I recently created 3 ROMs of three iconic anime openings, and I’ll be sharing the repositories for them soon.
These openings were created using Video Player: https://www.virtual-boy.com/homebrew/vuengine-video-player/
Therefore, special thanks to Jorgeche and KR155E for this software.
It’s worth noting that the entire process plays up to almost 2 minutes of 2D video at 12.5fps, which typically uses the 128Mbit rom that VB addresses by default.
To use it, simply unzip the file and copy the desired MP4 video file into the same folder. Then, run the following command in a terminal: VideoToVBpng.bat
It will ask you a few simple questions. (Windows only, sorry).
I hope you enjoy it.

Thank you very much for sharing and all your work for the VB community!
I need to check this out.
One question upfront (and I am sorry if this is one of these questions “It will ask you a few simple questions.”): can one set the size/length of the video so that is possibly can be played via 32Mbit flashcart? It sure will then only be a few seconds long, but I really want to see it on real console.
I tried running the .bat file and get this help screen.
When entering my video file name a movie player opens and plays the video.
That´s it.
Which command shall I input to get a converted 3d video? I don´t understand.
EDIT: it somehow proceeded further, don´t know why.
I now have a frames folder, a .mkv file of my input video and a mp3.
What to do next?
In the frames folder there are only “VideoR” files. Is this normal? Or is this because I have chosen 12.5 FPS instead of 25 FPS?

Thanks to MrFlower´s help I could make my own video out of the Nintendo Classics Overview Trailer with the Dragon Hopper and Zero Racers section.
So far without any sound. And with 12.5 FPS to get 16MBit for Flashboy+ users.

Another short video with 16Mbit, this time the “Underwater Demo”. It is a bit better than the Zero Racers Dragon Hopper trailer in my opinion.
It is hard to capture it in images. So try it out 🙂
Sadly still 2D. This must have been impressive back then in 1994 in 3d!
