I was just wondering if anyone could confirm which games were available in Japan as sample demos? So far, I know of the following:

Galactic Pinball
Teleroboxer
Mario Clash
Warioland
Mario Tennis
Red Alarm

that are them all only 6 have been out there in japan
i know this for sure beacouse i had them all except mario tennis

Can anyone confirm if the # in the bottom left corner of the sticker is the same across all of the sample games other then red alarm? I ask because I am in contact with someone who claims to have all of them and are willing to sell them but I noticed that the #’s on them were the same and that was a little concerning especially with all the stickers looking prestine. Thanks.

P.S. Also what would be a fair price for a complete set?

I don’t think the number in the bottom corner is the same – either that or the stickers were used inconsistently:

– Sorry, scratch that – it appears they are all the same (930910?)

Yes that is the # that appears on all of the sellers. So far this is looking good 🙂

When it comes to the Japanese “Sample for Demo” games, you don’t have to worry about there being any counterfeits out there, for although the ones besides Mario Clash and Wario Land are extremely rare, they are not highly sought after and never fetch a very high price. The place to find these is usually Yahoo Auctions Japan, and on there, each copy never usually sells for more than twice the amount of the price of the regular retail version. Thus, if I had to place values on them, I would cap them at:

Galactic Pinball “Sample for Demo” (J) – CIB = 50.00 US Dollars
Mario Clash “Sample for Demo” (J) – CIB = 80.00 US Dollars
Mario’s Tennis “Sample for Demo” (J) – CIB = 50.00 US Dollars
Red Alarm “Sample for Demo” (J) – CIB = 50.00 US Dollars
Teleroboxer “Sample for Demo” (J) – CIB = 50.00 US Dollars
Virtual Boy Wario Land “Sample for Demo” (J) – CIB = 120.00 US Dollars

That being said, it all depends on how patient you are. You might search online auctions in vain for a whole year before finding one of the four besides Mario Clash and Wario Land and then be surprised to find out that almost nobody else cares to bid on it, so you end up winning the auction at a rather low price. If time is money to you, then paying more for any of these to save yourself the hassle of not having to shop in vain for so long could be worth it to you.

Thanks for all the info guys! Ben, the only 2 that I have seen go up for auction local or abroad in the past 2 years is Teleroboxer and Mario Clash. It seems your prices are pretty much right on as he is asking $500 US for the complete set.

Are these all brand new as well? I got a brand new WarioLand I think for a great price, it was called out in the noteworthy auctions some time back but I honestly can’t remember where it sat price-wise, I want to say 80 bucks?
