I’m doing a school project and need to know what materials are used in the virtual boy (i.e Polystyrne casing etc). Can anybody help me please?

The case, as with most consumer electronics nowadays, is ABS. I think the red windows you look through are PS (polystyrene) but they may also be ABS.

As for the rest, well, that’s your job to find out. Here are some hints: It has electronics (including electromagnets), mirrors, and lenses inside. If you have one, take it apart and look inside. If you don’t, there are quite a few internal photos here.

I’d be interested in reading whatever you find out, and in seeing what grade you get.

Thx alot guys… sadly i don’t have a virtual boy – i live in the uk and its hard to import stuff cheaply – plus i dont have the money anyways… thanks sooo much!!

The people above are pulling your leg.
The VB is made of Candy, Kitten sneezes, Christmas presents, an autographed Chuck Norris photo, puppy kisses, Ice Cream and fireworks. There might be some ABS and Polystyrene in the mix, but not enough to matter. 😉
