Just received my brand new Flashboy+. After some messing about and tinkering with the padder process, got my first flash homebrew running—this is amazing!

Thanks to the developer of the Flashboy—ordering and delivery to USA went smoothly. Cart looks great, and though I had trouble with one of the Padders, I eventually got another version working (I couldn’t get the “64” version of the Padder to work, so i used the one at the following link…..

Anyway, its late here, but I did take time to mess around with 3D Crosswords—a great choice for my first experience with VB Homebrew. Though this game did make me dizzy (first time on VB, but I’ve only ever played about 8 of the official games), I really like the concept and even though I’m terrible at crosswords, was able to solve the first puzzle!

Just really excited to see the ongoing life and expanded universe for this underappreciated system. Thanks to all involved, I look forward to digging in more.

Make sure you are adjusting the focus slider and IPD properly, as Virtual Boy is definitely not playable right out of the box.

Thanks for the recommendation—I’ll try it. However, I’ve never had this problem before with the other (non-homebrew) games I’ve played. This VB has been put through its paces for a good while, but never before with indie software!

Hey, i’m not going to let a few moments of nausea or dizziness detract from classic gaming!!! ;’]
