Not sure if this is something obvious that you learn in VB-101, but what are those 2 plastic protrusions on top of the console? The little rectangular pieces of the molding that are on the red plastic, pretty much right up above the red lenses. I can upload a picture showing it if nobody knows what I’m talking about…I just paid attention to them for the first time recently, and was wondering if maybe they would have been grips for the unreleased head/shoulder harness.

Check out the picture- you see the things I’m referring to between the focus adjuster and the foam eyepiece…

Heh, believe it or not… that’s a Game Pak cover holder (it’s shown on pg. 5 and pg. 9 of the manual… someone was really proud of their idea 😉 ).

That’s so interesting… I should definitely start using that since I always kind of just leave the Game Pak cover around when I play and frequently almost loose them haha.

So they are intended to hold the dustcover? That’s brilliant.

Yeah, just another way that the VB was waaaaaaaaaaaay ahead of it’s time. And yet sadly unnoticed.

I saw that in the manual shortly after I got my VB. Unfortunately, I’ve always been short one dust cover, so I’ve never really got to use it! I remember trying it out though, works good!

Wow I feel like an idiot haha. It’s so seldom that I read a manual for a game, let alone the cobnsole itself. Maybe I can give it a go in the morning, that never would have struck me as a dust cap holder. Bummer, I was hoping it was some hidden or untapped functionality.

I remember somebody point that out quite some time ago, never got to try it for myself until recently. I only have one dust cover, the holder on the VB does work reasonably well.
