I totally forgot to upload these when I took a trip to New York this August… but better late then never!

For those who have no idea what I’m talking about or haven’t been there, Nintendo World is a store dedicated to Nintendo our in New York. In it they have new games, some toys, clothes, you name it. Something particularly interesting is that they have a mini museum of sorts there going over Nintendo’s history and previous systems. Shockingly, the Virtual Boy has it’s own case there! Not only that, they have a mint system displayed with just about all the American released games!

I have to admit, I took the pictures rather hastily as I was drooling from being at such a place… so they aren’t the best… didn’t even think to turn the camera vertical so you can see the whole case in one shot. X(

Anyway, here they are for those who haven’t been to Nintendo World!

PS
I just noticed the files start with WP… raise your hand if you also immediately think World Parameters! πŸ˜‰

*EDIT
Totally uploaded giant 4 meg versions the first time… sorry about that!

Very cool! They finally embrace their lost boy, thanks for posting this, I always love these kind of things!

Very nice picture, I will like be there museum!

That’s great, is it right in NYC? I go down from time to time to see my brother who lives there…maybe next time I’ll go through the exhibits. I could just Google the address, but I’d rather hear it from you :p

The next time you’re there, check out that Video Game Exchange NY store- they have a full sized VB store display, which is cool to actually see in person.

Yup! Right in NYC! Address is: 10 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, NY 10020. You should definitely check it out! It’s pretty neat.

Oh! I certainly do need to check that Video Game Exchange place! Sounds really awesome!

Wow what a goon, I was right there not long ago- and I vaguely remember seeing a Nintendo store or something but thought “bah, they probably just sell Wii’s there”. Well, next time I’ll check it out. You know how if people want to brag about their kids, they’ll “accidentally” drop a photo in front of someone as a conversation starter? Maybe I’ll bring my US Jack Bros and Virtual Fishing, then right as a crowd approaches, woops! They fall out of my wallet and I can brag about my collection πŸ™‚

Better Yet bring a flashboy too w VR Racing already loaded on. unless you think that they won’t be playing the games in that case just bring Bound High. and Faceball VB.

I betchya someone at Nintendo is juuuuust cheeky enough to put a proto of Zero Racers or Dragon Hopper in that Display VB, too, just to *know* that it’s there, taunting us all… πŸ˜‰

Great display! Thanks for nabbing pictures for us!

I’m in NY and the VB case is gone!!

Why would you place a yellowed SNES or Famicom in that case? lol… trashy…

The sunfaded Nintendo Power #1 is a nice touch.

I still say the Virtual Boy system looks really slick, with a lot more style than the USA Super NES, that’s for sure. How often do you ever see a red and black console?

Every day… when I look just to the left of me. πŸ˜‰

Coincidently, I wake up everyday to see mine sitting out with the new FlashBoy I just got in it as well. πŸ˜›

But that’s very odd the went and re-arranged everything at the store Alfissta. Did you notice cases lined up anywhere else? They must be using them for something! There was one for the NES, SNES, VB, 64, GC, and Wii in the ‘museum section’ they had on the second floor, to the back-right if you just had climbed up the stairs.

Love how Mario Tennis is still clinging onto the system for dear life though! πŸ˜›

I was there before. Learned about it years ago but don’t visit the city often. Last year made a trip and hate to say it was a little disappointing. The entire bottom floor was Pokemon so I went upstairs. The museum was pretty small. I have most of the stuff they were showing on display. They had very few shirts left and none of the plushies I was looking for. Granted it was the weekend before Xmas but still.

If they rearranged things then I’d assume they have more goodies to show and too small a store. Maybe I’ll check it out again.
