I recently was put in touch with someone who made me custom VB controller buttons. I would like to convert one of my spare controllers into a “prototype” reproduction. I have a few questions.

1. Does anyone know if a file of the prototype logo exists so I can have a graphic made to customize the controller?

2. Also, does anyone happen to know the font name used for the A/B and Start/Select on the controller?

3. What is the actual color of the controller? I’ve seen pictures of a purple one and I’ve seen one that’s more of a dark grey/black. I’d like to recreate it as closely to the original as possible since I LOVE the look of the controller.

That’s a very cool project, I look forward to seeing the finalized result.

Thanks! I’m hoping I can at least clean up the image of the logo that I was able to find. Below is what I’ve been able to do so far using one of Benjamin Steven’s pictures. Once I figure out the color situation, I should have this project in full swing!

I thiiiiink or would guess it’s the font “Handel Gothic” after doing some searching. 🙂

You were spot on with the font! Thank you! One step closer to finishing this now! I like the purple but I’m not sure if the controller ever was in purple or if it was bad lighting in the pictures. I feel like purple clashes with red but it’s kinda cool that it does, too.

Alrighty! Thanks to VirtuousRage I was able to get the font figured out. I just need to measure the size of the fonts and logo and send them into my buddy at the other end of town so he can print them.

That doesn’t change the fact, that the color is quite different.
I would even say, that the purple they used for that prototype was not so nice. Is no surprise that this color did not survive.
I would leave the Controller black. That saves you much trouble.

To be honest I’ll likely do the black one this time around. Since Madmorda on Discord is making buttons I can turn my USB controller into the purple one after some research on the color. Pictures of that one are hard to come by in my experience.
