Greetings everyone!

I’m an avid Virtual boy collector in possession of all 22 games (Damn you Athena!), complete in very good condition as well as the notorious system itself. πŸ™‚
I’m currently on a quest to max out all games in the whole library.

My problem resides in the game known as Virtual Fishing, as I’m obviously turning to those of you who have extensive experience of the game.
Area D, or more precisely the fishing book part of the game where the objective is to catch all supposedly 18 fishes and fill up your library. While you may not have more information than I do on this part, I wanted to give this a shot since I can’t find any info of it anywhere.

I can’t seem to get more than 7 different fishes to spawn in the infinite area. I’ve fished hour after hour without any luck and I can’t seem to figure out what I’m doing wrong. Bad luck is out of the question. I’m aware of the “rod bending”-element and I’ve even started to recognize every bending pattern I come across. πŸ˜›
I don’t know if the rest of the fishes have to be unlocked in some way. I’ve won all the trophies and played all time attacks. I’m really out of ideas. The most filled up book I’ve even heard of contained 8 out of 18 fishes.

The 7th fish I got was the eel, which I’ve only seen once and appears to be one of the rarer fishes. Otherwise, the six common from the left column of the “book” continues to show up no matter What I try with this game.

Any ideas, as I’m completely cluless what to do about tis game? πŸ˜‰

Regards,
Robin

I’ve only beat the normal game with the secret Sturgeon area. I’ll have to pick this game back up and see how many I can get in my book.

Thanks a lot! Any help would be great, as I’ve never ever heard about someone who have all the fishes. πŸ˜€

If it really is luck based, the spawn probability for the rest of the whole library is ridiculous. πŸ™

Did anyone find an answer to this?
