Hey everyone I’m new here, but I’ve been lurking for a while, and recent;y my Virtual boy has started to display horizontal lines across the Left Display.

After a Little research I found a thread on this forum, which points to This link: http://www.virtual-boy.org/projectvb/projects/Dissect.htm

I get a 404 error, as it is Obviously not around anymore..But I really need some help with this, I am familiar with this type of repair, I’ve baked many electronics before, but I need a step by step for the VB, as I do not want to destroy it.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,

MT

Don’t bake, do the solder method if anything. I recently got a buggy right eye, and I left it off for awhile and cranked my IPD knob back and forth like 20 times and the issue went away for now. Best of luck, but there is hope no matter which direction you wish to take. πŸ™‚

Baking seems a little ghetto to me, like the towel fix for 360. Soldering is easy and permanent. πŸ˜‰

I found the page I was looking for, and yes, seeing how it is actually just glued on there, Baking doesn’t seem to be the best route. The lines have Passed, so for now I won’t mess with it. But later on if need be(I’m sure it will) I will solder them directly.

Thanks. πŸ™‚

I have a few busted VBs I’d like to fix but I can’t get in them and am too lazy to find a tool that works.

The current address of that site is http://www.projectvb.com/
