Hello. I’m new here – and I’m excited.
Recently, Nintendo put up Majora’s Mask lamp on Club Nintendo UK.
I ordered one and got an interesting offer.

A Friend of mine – who is a huge collector and got 2 virtual boys,
Offered to take my lamp + 60$ in exchange for a Virtual boy.
with box in very bad shape.
But the unit itself looks brand new, the visor, eye shield, stand and AC adapter, all looks in a very very good shape
AND working.
+ one game I want, V-Tetris.

Good trade?

Also, do you guys think I should get the Flashboy?

P.S. I would never get the lamp if it wasn’t for this type of deal.

I’m talking about:

It sounds like a fair deal. It kind of depends on the value of the lamp though and that is a pretty difficult one to tell you since it is such a new item. Cheapest here in Europe goes for €20,- If that is the value, then you have a pretty good deal considering you get the complete package and in perfect condition.

Definitely yes. I can’t imagine there ever being a single person who bought a FlashBoy Plus and then later regretted the purchase. It’s worth much more than what Richard asks for it.

almost all of the club nintendo items go up over time. especially if you order them, put them away, and pull their mint condition self out for auction a year later. now that club nintendo rewards have been suspended in the US, some of the older items are going for a bit more money.

for about $60 you could probably grab a virtual boy, perhaps even lower if you were patient. For around that price it may be more difficult to get one in the condition you described. Also, this is one you can see (and hopefully test) in person before you trade for it, that is something to consider.

if you always wanted a virtual boy then i say go for it.

Sure you could hang onto the lamp and maybe down the road make some money off it, but how much exactly? A couple hundred? $300 Maybe?

Sometimes money isn’t everything in life. If it were me, I’d take a mint condition, working Virtual Boy over a lamp. There’s my $0.02.
