But my Gameboy has splattered battery acid around its case so its not the dusty-not-as-bad kind…OMG, get out, get out now, its gonna melt through the earths crust and we’ll all have to escape the coming implosion as the planet folds back in on itself, and we never did play Dragon Hopper…….all cos you didn’t take out your Gameboy batteries when left for a prolonged period, as the manual states…..
I also have old batteries in my WonderSwan and Wii Remote that are as old as the Gameboy’s batteries…

how do I get myself less nervous about this? (its “GBA of 2004” all over again) and do I keep it? there IS battery acid around that Gameboy after allLast night i went to play a dvd, not done for ages, the remote didn’t work and as i turned it over i saw the white dusty evidence of leaked batteries, now i had been holding this pressing buttons and felt nothing, aside from that my wife had been trying first and she felt nothing on her hands and she can get bad eczema from some detergents etc.
There really is nothing to worry about, wear some kind of gloves, open it up and knock out the batteries, with a bit of a brush out it will most likely still work.
But my Gameboy has splattered battery acid around its case so its not the dusty-not-as-bad kind… (and even the dusty stuff is scary too, it brings me back to when I was playing with my toy phone when I was about 4 or 5 or so and it was not working so I opened its battery compartment (I was brave when I was little) and out came very sharp crusty pieces of battery acid… I even accidentally sat on a few of said pieces that were scattered on the floor ) (just one of my many terrible encounters with batteries)
Aw geez, I’m told we (as in me and my family) may have to move sometime in the next few months which is making me nervous because I believe I might have to touch my Gameboy in that drawer that has the battery acid splattered around it!

Its a bit funny how its bigger than the Virtual Boy itself…
Crazy fan moment: is it just me, or when cameras flash light on a VB doesn’t the light hitting off of it makes it look like the VB is looking around? such as this one looks like its making a ” :rolleyes ” face
Its aliiiiiiiiivvve!
anyways congrats on the new addition to your collection!
Welcome Octopus! (everytime I read your username I think of the Game & Watch game “Octopus” )
Have much fun on these forums and with your Virtual Boy

Jesus, you are young. If you would have just said that, you wouldn’t have caught so much flack I think.
I was shy at first, due to being a new forum member
Hey, if I was not only months old when the VB was around, I would have bought/wanted to get one regardless of what people said of it
I’m getting a 3DS even if everyone complains about it too (a Red/Black one, of course)
Instead of the headaches/eye strain/nausea haters claim it gives you, I have a blast of a time playing my VB, it is such a unique game console
I used to have this Nickelodeon magazine years back that had 3D Glasses (Red/Blue) and the magazine was filled with 3D effects and such, and it gave me a terrible dizziness and I was almost thinking 3D was bad until years later I learn what a Virtual Boy is, I wanted to try it since Red/Black sounded easier than Red/Blue and it is! Red/Blue was too much of a “flickery” too different of colors together dizzy sickening experience but Red/Black gives me the 3D Experience (along with a videogame instead of some novelty magazine I can read a few times but get bored with) without any symptoms normal Red/Blue 3D gives me (plus the console is made by Yokoi so thats even better, I can play it in tribute each time!)
I love love love my Virtual Boy! (I’d say that over and over and still mean it)
I even used to REALLY hate Red, but I was proven that it was awesome by my dear VB

I don’t want to know what you are doing with your VB, except playing Mario’s Tennis…
But read the VB Instruction Booklet on page 16:
8. DO NOT spill liquids on the Virtual Boy, Game Paks, or any of the Virtual Boy components.
15. Connect ONLY Nintendo Authorized “accessories” designed for use with the Virtual Boy.
Eep! I didn’t do anything like that to it!

So I’m buying a VB on its 15th birthday! That’s awesome.Of course, it will probably take up to two more weeks before it arrives.
thats just like how I joined PVB forum a day before the Japanese Virtual Boys release (July 21st) and didn’t even know it at first
Thats so sad that some people would throw away their Virtual Boys even if they didn’t know how/just couldn’t repair their screens…
Its nightmarish to think of!
kinda makes me want to get another Virtual Boy someday (hopefully a Japanese one so it fills my collection more so)
Well, I know US Super Nintendo plugs work with the Virtual Boy tap, but I think using a PAL Super Nintendo plug may fry it

Do Virtual Girls exist but hide like boy ladybugs, and how can you tell which is which?
You can easily tell by their color; Virtual Girls are silver instead of red
but what about that VB in my dreams that claimed it was a Virtual Girl that I saved from haters that was red?

“if a virtual boy(non-real human) was playing a Virtual Boy (console) would he be a Virtual Virtual Boy Boy?”
weird question but by non-real human do you mean alien or robot
boy=1 sex of 2 (other being girl)=human so no maybe virtual alien or virtual robot LOL
I meant like neither a human, alien or robot but a Virtual (a animated boy not in real life but in somewhere like a computer) boy playing a Virtual Boy (the console we all know and love)

I was wondering that myself too

so many dead mistreated Virtual Boys piled up…
SO MANY DEAD VIRTUAL BOYS *curls into ball expecting terrible nightmares*
more topic ideas that were too silly to post separately;
“What would the world be like if the VB wasn’t red, but blue?”(I once had a dream I saw a blue/white VB)
“do you think I’ll EVER find Virtual Bowling? and how?”
“has anyone seen this talkative Virtual Boy ?”
“Is Virtual Boy like the Rudolph of Game consoles?”
“Can a Virtual Boy save Christmas?”
“did most here always like the color red or did some despise it in the past (like me) but VB made it awesome for them?”
“Do you think VB remakes will be on the 3DS?”
“Why do people hate the VB when some of them never actually played one?”
“Do you, when watching TV and watching a show/movie you don’t really care for, say “VB is better than TV” like me? ”
“do you also sometimes also dislike a movie actor/actress so much that you say “and I bet they hate the VB” like me?”
“do you eat, sleep and think VB?”

I have little fear at all for batteries actually. I like to put those small watch/computer/cartridge batteries on my tongue and suck on them like a mint. Gives a good tingly feeling!
Maybe you should try that, if you can do that you’ve got nothing to fear!
*reads* *cringes at the thought* no thanks
