Wow, Kevin you’ve been busy! Thank you again for the cable and everything. You’re a flippin rockstar and so many people loved being able to used the cable at that gaming con.
Shame I missed out on this. Hopefully by the next run I won’t have as many medical bills to pay *fingers crossed*
How funny is that! I almost bought that lot! Great find, man. I had no idea about these.

He doesn’t have any VB pins, just a Famicom Disk System, but funnily enough I am working on a VB pin that I’m hoping you guys will like.Just making it for myself but maybe others will want them.
Give me a month and I’ll have something to share!
You can bet your bum I’d be interested in one! lol. I adorn my purse/backpack with pins from all sorts of gaming franchises and consoles I love. VB is so poorly underrepresented considering how much I love it.
You mentioned he had pins. Does he make custom ones? I would kill for a nice enamel VB pin.
Great that people can make their own now! Good luck with the project 🙂
Good interview to watch and nice to put a face to a name. Speaking of which, I had no idea that you were Hawk, Barry.
Side note but holy cow, Kevin, your eyes are so gorgeous lol

I really have disdain for Pat the NES punk… But nice work on the show.
There’s definitely moments where I wanna kick Pat in the balls but he’s much better in person. Ian is why I mostly tune in to the shows. There were a bunch of others there too like Adam Koralik, Pete Dorr, GillyTheKid, RewindMike, and a couple others I’m forgetting at the moment.
Next year the event is at a larger venue (and closer to my house, yay!) so I’m expecting even better things next year. You can bet your bottom dollar I’ll be back with the VB/VG too lol

Wow, this is so awesome. I applaud you for doing this, it’s exactly the boost the Virtual Boy needed. I mean, how could it not go well, we’re at a time where there is some amazing stuff available for the Virtual Boy. All the homebrewers out there have really done outstanding stuff!Curious though, how come one stand is inverted and the other not? Looks funky =P
I wish I could have brought you all with me to the event. It was a blast! The reason the one stand is inverted is because it’s a 3rd party replacement stand and unfortunately the way the pins/knubs are set on it, it only allows the system to face one way. I wanna chop off the knubs and fix it but I’ve been too lazy. I was sure to send everyone with questions on the homebrew and the cable over here to the forum. I also had the print out about the forum and the VB which hopefully gets us some new faces.

This is awesome. So glad this kind of stuff is happening.
This is my second year going and next year will be at an even larger venue. I can’t wait to bring the Virtual Girl and everything back. Seeing how much fun people were having with it made me so happy.
People were absolutely in love with Hyper Fighting and the link cable. When I told them both were homebrew items, their minds were blown. You should be proud Hyper Fighting team and you too Kevin!
I’m thinking of bringing it to a few other game cons too but those are much later in the year.
That is such a sweet setup, dude! I love it!
I am stoked for this! I would love one of these. Must have all the VB things! lol

Have you considered selling these as a DIY kit?
If anyone is interested, I’ll have some DIY link plugs available next month.
That is great MineStorm! I can’t wait to see more cables out there.
I’d love one of these for when I emulate to capture footage or just mess around without having to stick my face in the system. No doubt Kevin’s craftsmanship will be top notch.
Don’t be so hard on yourself. Sometimes real life is a PITA and doesn’t care about what you want. I think we can all related to that. I’m sure it’s safe to say we’re just happy to have you back.
So good to be back! I was starting to get withdrawals lol With A Video Game Con coming, I wanted to be able to share the events of the VB and VG getting the spotlight of sorts.
I’ll begin saving up now for this! I am so excited to see this progress!

Finally I had some time to show the new link cable also on video:

I can’t wait to watch it later, Roland!
Thanks! I used my iPhone 7 for the footage. It’s the only decent camera I have for recording at the moment. It took me a good minute of getting things jussssst right but in the end it even shocked me with how nice the quality was. 🙂
