Wait a sec. I knew that if you flashed a game that supported saves, then you flashed a game that didn’t, then flashed the original game that the save would still be there, but you are saying it holds a save for multiple games concurrently? How did I not notice this? I thought it only held one save at a time and would overwrite the save memory when a different game supporting saves was flashed and played. So is the multiple saves thing true of a versions of the Flashboy+?

As far as I have experimented, the FlashBoy+ maintains save files from whichever games you have previously saved, whenever those offer this possibility. These saves are not lost at all no matter which new games you will flash to the device in the future. It stores them in a reserved memory compartment, so that you can have save files for every VB game on your FlashBoy+.

Currently, it seems not possible to transfer these save files from the FashBoy+ to any other media, but an application to do so or just to manage save files would be welcomed.

Ups! To tell the truth, maybe I went way too far with my assumption, since I haven’t tested having more than one save file from different games at the same time… Sorries! 😛
It makes more sense only one save file maintained until a new one is generated from a different game.

Have to test it, for example with Wario Land + Teleroboxer.

I got my FlashBoy+ in the mail today. It’s working flawlessly! Total compatibility, saves, great design & high quality assembly. Simply perfect! Awesome! I’m very happy with it. 🙂

@MineStorm

Thank you very much for creating such an impressive device and bringing us the possibility to enjoy it!

Yeah! At least I managed to get almost all my favourite VB games. Next target: Mario Clash, if possible. 😉

Thank you, retronintendonerd! 🙂

Indeed, I love it! It’s been a long wait trying to get a well-preserved unit plus a 2-month shipping time from Japan… In the meanwhile, I managed to start a game minicollection including the typical affordable and common gems. So far, I have the following games:

Mario’s Tennis (J)
Vertical Force (J)
Red Alarm (J)
Wario Land (U)
Teleroboxer (J)
Galactic Pinball (J)
V-Tetris (J)
Todibase! Panibon (J)

I’m really impressed at how unique the VB experience is. It feels so different and at the same time its games are good, fun and with high playability value, at the same level of any Nintendo product. No doubt the VB is a retro treasure worthy to get and experience. The only problem is I’m suffering from the typical stand medallion cracking, but I’ve just ordered an improved replacement.

Currently, I’m looking to increase my collection as much as possible but also got in the list for purchasing the FlashBoy+ from the new batch its creator is manufacturing this month. Can’t wait to try all that unreleased/homebrew/demo VB scene on real hardware!

Just getting into the VB community, as I’ve just received my wholelife-desired Japanese Virtual Boy. So the awesome FlashBoy+ would be the perfect complement to get the most of this system which I’m very excited with. 🙂

Just e-mailed MineStorm to count me in for the new FlashBoy+ batch. Can’t wait to get my hands on one of those!
