Just got my second one today. Only got one VB at the moment, but luckily I’ve found an old colleague from around here that also has a Virtual Boy. So not only do I have everything I need now, I have someone to actually play with too =D The real kicker is he happens to live within walking distance to me now. Convenient multiplayer VB situation for the win

Welcome to the site! Congrats on being cool enough to own a Virtual Boy =P

Looks like you got quite a good collection going on, and even playing the games properly on a CRT (and a PVM it looks like?).

I’m sure you’ll enjoy your stay here, in my opinion the Virtual Boy has the best community surrounding it. There’s so many genuinely good people here.

I waited a few months, he just happened to contact him at the right time 😉

It seems like he just finished a batch, as I and what looks like a few others were able to order one. Hopefully you can score one quick

Welcome to the site!

Looks like you got a pretty good collection already 🙂

Well, you never know, someone could mistake it for a prototype console. Maybe they just want to be sure that people know that yes, this was in fact the model that did launch.

:p

Hmm, I don’t see any of the brackets that actually hold the VB in place. Also no cartridge lock it looks like. Just keep that in mind when looking it’s missing those.

I totally understand. Good luck on the search 🙂

I thought more of these were gonna get made? I’m pretty sure you don’t need to spend 300 Euros to get the game if you’re a little patient.

Edit: I didn’t see your other post, looks like you’re looking for an original run. Disregard this if that’s the case.

Lol, only 499! Or 5 easy payments of $100!!

Nope, no footplate. Pretty steep for a (slightly) incomplete unit.

Eric to the rescue 🙂

This was an interesting read, thanks for posting!

Yeah sounds like the AC adapter is working. Next in line, you’ll need to check the controller. I’m not sure which pins carry the power though..

I’d participate 🙂

Do you have a multi meter/voltage tester?

No, nothing will happen when you turn it on without a game, but you should still hear the mirrors moving (just tried with mine, the mirrors still seem to turn on)

Oh nice, as soon as I heard the name of the museum I thought of Borman, and lo and behold you ended up having a good game sesh with him. Very cool! Looks like he’s enjoying his new job 🙂

Nice, I was wondering when this would appear.

Thanks so much for sharing, Ben!

“You can enjoy a powerful movie” – I wonder if they meant there would have been a bit of a story with cut-scenes?

Ahh yes, very well could be.

That is cool!

Looks like the working title for Jack Bros was Monster Busters? I can’t read Spanish, but that’s what I got out of it =P
