Hi,

Posting a separate thread specifically about my VB cart programmer. As I mentioned in another thread this can dump the ram/rom space of any VB game. Also allows writing to ram/rom of my custom 16Mbit carts. I’m adding support for my larger 256Mbit cart as well.

I’ll be building a few of these programmers in the next month or so and I’m wondering if anyone has any interest in them. Some free ones will be going to developers for games that need the larger 256Mbit cart. This is really meant as a developer tool but putting it out there for anyone. PM me if interested.

Ok that little display with the tiny VB on it is the best thing I’ve seen today. This looks awesome good job! Even though my use for it would be limited I still want one =P

This is so awesome! And that animation just finishes off the package! Like @speekyink, I don’t *need* one as it would have limited use with me, but I *want* one… but I know these should be in the hands of those people that will use them to make games for the community, and I am not one of those people unfortunately. Keep up the great work man! I love where this is leading!

I can build 5 to 10 of them. Probably plenty for those interested.

Ok looks like the 10 units are accounted for. I’ll order some of the parts today. I’ll also post some more details soon on how it’s used. Just need to finish up some things first.

I’ve actually already contacted him about these to make him aware of their existance. From what I remember him telling me they don’t yet have a means to back-up VB ROMs/Saves.

I wish they had Dragon Hopper. The day I busted out HF, Space Pinball, FaceBall, and a few HB carts, I hoped he would have matched me with hands-on time with DH. LOL.

Initial 128Mbit cart read/write support added. Adding a few more features for this size cart and then I’ll move over to enclosure design.

I’ve also purchased the critical parts for the 10 units. Once the enclosure work is done, I’ll be ready to start building the programmers.

One day I wish to do electronics. Skills like this seem to be extremely useful.

256Mbit also now working with some newer flash chips that are more widely available. This allows 128Mbit main RAM space and 128Mbit Expansion space.
