Ahhh… it brings tears to one’s eyes.

You’re very welcome.

Also, be sure to check out the several VB Wario Land GameFAQs on this site, if you ever happen to get stuck again.

To find these, drag your mouse cursor over the “GAMES” tab at the top of the page and select “Released Games.” Then, click on “Virtual Boy Wario Land,” and you will come to a screen that has several tabs at the top. Click on the tab that says “Cheats & FAQs.” There, you will find several GameFAQs, which are actually walkthroughs of the game, which have been posted by several users on Planet Virtual Boy. Each Virtual Boy game has such a section on this site, and any possible walkthroughs for a game are always posted in this section, so always try to check this section for a particular game first, before seeing if other sections on this site may have the answers your looking for.

Game on! 🙂

Man, DogP, why’d you have to go and do that? 😉 Here I was, perfectly content with NOT owning a 3DS, and then you had to go and tempt my addiction with those 2 amazing videos, of which I was previously unaware.

Yes… Make sure that when an enemy over the conveyor belt appears with a melon and not an explosive bomb, you do stand right under the enemy and catch the melon in air. If the melon hits the ground, it will break and be unusable, so you’ll have to wait for another melon-dropping enemy. Also, there are three conveyor belts that have buttons at the end of them, on which melons caught from enemies must be placed. I’m pretty sure that you can make it past the third button without having to launch the two melons into the two quickly moving baskets in the background. Nevertheless, I would strongly recommend keeping at it and going back to the melon-dropping enemies and launching the melons until you do get both melons in the two quickly moving baskets. You won’t regret it. 😉

I wonder if those at Nintendo have been following the 3DS sales on Ebay, and that’s what they used to determine the price drop. I have seen that many people are willing to pay $180.00 for a 3DS on Ebay. In fact, that’s usually the lowest that a Like New one or a New one goes for. Imagine, then, how many people would be willing to buy new ones for even $10.00 less than that.

Hey TrJ22487,

There is a seller on Ebay who does something very similar to what you’re looking for:

http://cgi.ebay.com/VIRTUAL-BOY-PART-CONSOLE-ONLY-GOOD-VB16038-/370523244514?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5644e807e2

He sells a lot of VB Consoles Only for very cheap, after he has already fixed them, so this isn’t the only one he’s offering. Check out his store for others. You may want to look into him, though I can’t guarantee his work, since I haven’t actually bought one from him. Nevertheless, you’d probably pay about the same with him as you would with trying to mail your system to someone, have them fix it, and then have them mail it back to you.

Hope this helps some.

I used to use Internet Explorer all the time, but its security seemed to be lousy, so I switched to Firefox, whose security seems to be excellent, and I haven’t switched since.

Well, it does seem that the seller of the “factory sealed” Mario’s Tennis was, in fact, honestly mistaken. After writing to him for a little bit, he has now changed the description, and even the price a bit, too.

This doesn’t have to do with a US Version of Jack Bros listed on Ebay, but it does have to do with a US Version of Jack Bros listed on Amazon.com. I don’t know how many people on here ever shop at Amazon, but there is currently a cartridge only of Jack Bros available for $75.00

The seller has it listed under the manual only, but it’s really the game cartridge in, what she says, excellent condition.

It’s a pretty good deal, from what I’ve seen lately.

“LOL! Looking at the 4th picture, the seal is clearly over the sticker, which had been marked by hand… and is the 6th picture showing the side of the box? That’s not even shrink wrap!”

Yeah… it must have been “factory sealed” at Blockbuster, after an employee took the game’s box out of its delivery box.
🙂

The way I see it: No person who is well-informed about the Virtual Boy is going to fall for this attempt. At the same time, no person who isn’t well-informed about the Virtual Boy is going to be willing to pay the price that the seller is demanding for it. Thus, no harm should come of this. Nevertheless, I think curiosity has won the best of me, so I’m going to message the seller and see if the seller would be willing to change the description or take it down, after being informed that this particular game was not factory sealed and that no copies of Mario’s Tennis have ever been factory sealed.

It makes me wonder, though, whether the selling company itself was fooled when it happened upon this “factory sealed” version of Mario’s Tennis. Nevertheless, the seller’s description could be an attempt at “playing dumb” about the situation, while someone among them actually sealed it and they are now calling it “factory sealed.”

There is currently a seller on Ebay, who is offering a “factory sealed” version of Mario’s Tennis:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Nintendo-VIRTUAL-BOY-BRAND-NEW-FACTORY-SEALED-/120720773268?pt=Video_Games&hash=item1c1b84d094

Can anybody verify if Mario’s Tennis was ever factory sealed, even when copies were originally delivered to Blockbusters? I have a feeling that this “factory sealed” version of Mario’s Tennis is fraudulent, and therefore, the game’s box was sealed by someone after the fact.

Well, if you go the Nester route, you’ll have to choose Hester, since it’s a girl. 🙂

I always liked the name “Kitty.” It’s the one thing I could call any cat, and it would actually come running.

Sometimes, incredible prices can also be a good thing, though. I recently purchased a nice, complete copy of SD Gundam Dimension War from an international seller on Ebay for 405.98 Pounds Sterling = 651.76 US Dollars. I thought it was a great deal. I was amazed at the fact that it had been sitting on there for so long and nobody snagged it.

I still haven’t had a chance to play all of my Virtual Boy games yet, so my favorite game of all time could very well change, but just looking at all Nintendo systems apart from the Virtual Boy, I’d have to say that my favorite Nintendo game, which is also my favorite game of all time, is:

Super Mario 64

I have literally gotten all 120 stars in that game on over 30 different occasions. It’s a little pathetic, but true.

Does anyone know if there are any Japanese to English translations of any of the instruction manuals or content on the boxes of any of the Virtual Boy games available online? If not, I think it would be great if someone who knows Japanese and English, who is also a Virtual Boy fan and who would like to make a great contribution to the Virtual Boy community, would be so kind as to begin working on these for publication on this site. Of course, this could also happen in a Japanese to German form, if there are any who are capable of this. I can’t even begin to start translating Japanese to English with the help of translation software programs, but if I had at least rough English translations of some things, I would certainly be willing to put in the time to make them read properly in English.

Another question would be: Does anyone have an awesome OCR program, which could convert the Japanese text that appears in the scans of the manuals on this site into digital format? If I had the Japanese text in digital format, I probably COULD begin working on these by myself, and then I might just need to ask a few questions here and there to one who actually speaks Japanese and English.

The typical Blockbuster hard case sells for around $100.00, unless sellers who don’t care simply want to get rid of one for whatever price. The Travel Master Case, which is MUCH MORE rare, should, therefore, sell for a good bit more.

I’m not sure if I can say that it is “worth” that much, but I figured that given its extreme rarity, one would probably have to bid $200 or so to win it in an Ebay auction.

That is totally AWESOME!!!

You da man, Tighe!

I found another site with very nice scans of both boxes and carts. In fact, the scans are probably all nicer than the ones on the previous site that I mentioned. It is NintendoAge’s website:

http://www.nintendoage.com/index.cfm?FuseAction=search.Results&code_platform=VUE&sort=Element_Title&order=desc

This is a great site to use for any of you who are desiring to make reproductions of things.
