I sense that michaeljee’s comment was supposed to have hyperlinked text that would take one to an unrelated site if one clicked on it, but the hyperlinked text did not take effect.

The black line issue is different from the typical glitchy display problem. See this thread here and be sure to click on the links mentioned in this thread:

I found a picture of a nice-looking Virtual Boy jacket as I was searching for Virtual Boy stuff using Japanese words:

User: djandy76 at assemblergames.com, who reveals himself to be very fluent in Japanese, gave me his translation of the article on the unreleased racing game for the Virtual Boy, which I’ve attached below. Many thanks to him for this!

Famitsu 340

Note: Of all the images in the magazine where there could have been some sticky substance on the page that tore up the image, it just had to be on a Virtual Boy game image. Thank goodness it wasn’t a screenshot of an unreleased game. (I don’t want to know what the sticky substance is…)

Oh, man, This is great! Thanks for the scans! There’s some interesting looking articles and a bunch of new screenshots in there. Looking forward to what the later issues from 1995 will show, there should be quite a few unreleased games!

A little request; can you also scan the contents of issue 323? It has a small tradeshow image: http://www.planetvb.com/modules/articles/?s020261002

Sure, I will try to scan that contents page and include it in the next batch that I post here.

Information about unreleased games is the main thing that I was hoping to find in these magazines, so I already searched through all of them and made notes about them, which appear below. Basically, if you see a page number in my notes below, then something related to the Virtual Boy appears on that page of the magazine. But if you see additional words in parentheses next to a page number in my notes below, then something about that unreleased Virtual Boy game appears on that page of the magazine. Of course, I sometimes did not make notes for screenshots and articles of unreleased games, which I know already appear on this site. Thus, there wasn’t as much new stuff as I was hoping for but still some cool things. I do remember seeing two screenshots for Virtual Dodge Ball in a small article, so that was a nice find, but everything else will just contain some new information but not screenshots, unless I overlooked something. There is a small possibility that a few screenshots and new articles for unreleased VB games may appear within the January and/or February issues of 1996, but I don’t know if I will to try to bid on those issues unless I can maybe get all of them for a nice price or if I know for sure that I will be getting screenshots of unreleased Virtual Boy games that have not been posted online at all before.

Anyone looking to buy a Virtual Boy Pen?

Kinda cool!

Not only cool but also extremely rare. I am highly confident that these pens were never mass produced for the market but rather were made on a very limited basis for certain employees of Nintendo, or maybe they were handed out at one of the few tradeshows where the Virtual Boy had an appearance. Either way, these almost never appear for sale online anywhere, that’s for sure.

You both are very welcome. 🙂

Here is an interesting article from Issue No. 336, May 26, 1995, page 91, which raised the question: Was Capcom making “Street Fighter II” for the Virtual Boy?

Capcom’s response to the afore-
mentioned reports:
“Right now, there are no such or

For sure, Capcom still has not
officially announced entry into the
Virtual Boy. It might be a rumor which
began to be built by the expectations
of “Street Fighter II” fans.
