I have not witnessed this and played a number of times. The randomizer seems to work well. Let me know if you experience things differently.

Update…re-compiled the better version of this called GB Wordyl with-no save and it works under the VB GB emu. Attaching the new version and a couple of screenshots.

I’m the one who has been playing around with trying to get a Zelda game going. I still have a lot of work to do on the game engine, but I do have a demo done to test art assets etc. The much larger playing field will be an interesting challenge compared to the classic Gameboy games. I’m attaching a video of the demo.

So I’ve been working on a raspberry pi concept myself. It’s not a mini but a way to utilize an empty VB case from one I consolized.

The idea is to put a pi 4 running mednafen in the VB case combined with the project relativity.com style screens. The nice part of this approach was the screens act as one large screen split into two parts. This allows me to use mednafen split screen mode to create the 3D effect.

I’ve got the kit pieces assembled and the screens are working nice, but now I need to get the pi working with it which involves hdmi to mini display port trickery, which I’m struggling to get working.

I’ve attached a picture of the screens working to give an idea of what I described above.

I’d definitely buy empty color cases for sure. If you ever get the connectors done consider selling them for people to self assemble too. I’d do both for my own individual projects.

Here’s the progress I’ve made so far following your lead. I need to smooth out the paint with another coat but I think it’s looking okay so far. I went with a little variant and did another shade of red to highlight the lighter colors in Wario sprites in the game. The current hat is just a placeholder until I can model the safari hat. I’m also toying with some ideas on how to make a checkered base instead of all black. Thanks so much for sharing everything and being an inspiration to build one of these!

Did you use any particular paper for the print outs? Did you use something glossy?

Have you started work on any of the others?

Amiibos and Virtual Boy! Two of my favorite things. You did an amazing job it really looks fantastic. I had one quick question. I looked over the PSD files and it seems like I am missing a few of the fonts. I was able to find all of them except VirtualLogo. Do you have a pointer to that font or know of a suitable substitute I’d be forever grateful.

They aren’t the same dimensions. I’m sure you could work with them but the standard repo covers work well with the DS cases.
