I got this footage from real hardware: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uoPU6yOJJg

I upscaled the VGA footage carefully to 4k (nearest neighbor style filtering)

Using VirtualTap of course!

I dont own Hyper Fighting sadly T_T

Thanks guys!! Any requests for footage youd like to see?

I’m getting one of these soon! Is there anyone in the US that I could pay to install it into my Virtual Boy while retaining full VB functionality? (Got a runnerpak ribbon cable fixed unit)

The first 2 (they each came with my 2 VBs) of them I used to have, were damaged by leaky batteries. I think most are sadly destroyed by the same thing, I had to buy a 3rd on eBay for my nice boxed system. I think the tap is actually more common then the battery pack these days because of the above mentioned (a tap costing $25 and a battery pack costing $35).

Best of luck on your search.

Thanks! Yeah, it seems like the going rate is more like 40 now. Might have to pony it up, but still wanted to try here first!

Definitely down for this!

I’d be interested in one of the DIY Kits as well!

Heres mine that I received last week! Interesting to see how many different types there are now.

Works fine for me too on Windows 10.

Mine is VN10433181[9]

Dont know what that would make it. Appreciate any input on that. Got it from a thrift store. RunnerPack repaired displays.

Got my Flashboy+ today, works great. Thanks!

Super excited to try this! Great job. Big fan of the Sega CD version. Do you have any ideas what youre going to do with the more… lewd content?

Darn, this thread is making realize I should have bought my Koss Porta Pros in red!!

They are fantastic headphones, great value (40 bucks), and the design dates back to the mid 80s. They are still being made today. Cant help but feel its a great style match to the Virtual Boy too.

Haha thanks guys! As far as the potential for posters, it could happen! I’d have to redo parts because I saved over the original like an idiot when I sized it down for online upload. Before it was a full 12 megapixels resolution. So some time when I have a moment, I might do that.

That’s not even mentioning the anachronistic books included. But hey, thanks! 🙂

Got my displays back from RunnerPack today, they work great and he did a fantastic job. Super clean solder work man. 🙂 No way I could have pulled that off myself.

He even sent me a set of replacement screws as I had lost mine. Thanks again!

Hey, anyone still offer their services? Ive got a Virtual Boy that I got from Goodwill a couple years ago. I finally want to fix it! My left display is perfectly fine right now, no lines. And the right display is supremely glitchy. I dont think I have the skills to do the soldering fix myself.

For those curious, it came with the controller, stand, Nesters Funky Bowling, eyehood, and ac adapter for around 35 bucks if I remember right.

What part of the world do you reside in? If you live in Europe, I can offer my services, if you live in the USA, I could still help you, but Runnerpack would be a better option, then just send him a PM, if you want me to do it, PM me please.

Oh yeah, sorry should have said. I live in the USA. Thanks, I’ll hit him up.
