you want to be staff member hehe
its alot of work and not as fun as reading new vb posts 🙂
yep, the other members at Planet Virtual Boy have said that too
(and yes, I still want to be a staff member 😉 )
contest question: if I can submit something random like a picture of a cat playing the VB, could my drawings that are VB-related count as a contribution too? I know you said what to contribute is my choice but I can’t draw Chalvo that well!
as for my friends/peers at Planet Virtual Boy; It’d feel awkward to just make a “top 10 best people” list! not to mention, ALL of you (at least I’d hope so) appreciate the Virtual Boy so thats great in my book 😉
and in response to “why do you deserve this game?” …anything I’d say would sound like Wario! “WA-HA-HA! all 33 VB games will be MINE!” heres something that sounds nicer: …I’m giving my VB the gift of JACK BROS! (or Nester’s Funky Bowling)
more cheesy text: I can show my VB how much I love it with yet another game in my collection… after all, Virtual day is almost here! er, Valentines I mean!
*end of yet another crazy post brought to you by gunpeiyokoifan here*

Objection!
why do you hate Bound High! Mr. Wright?
Chalvo is NOT GUILTY for the low sales of the Virtual Boy! his game didn’t even release! 😛
(sorry for being somewhat off-topic)

I did not yet get around to including it, but it will eventually be available here: http://www.planetvb.com/modules/misc/?h
its going in the “Virtual Boy in Hollywood” category?
not the “VB TV features” category? (is about that Pawn Stars episode technically not being dedicated to the Virtual Boy? well the G4 Icons episode that mentioned the VB wasn’t a dedicated Virtual Boy episode either) …just saying 😛
I’ve had my Virtual Boy since December 2009, I bought it on eBay for $199.95 (with Free Shipping 😀 ) unused with the included Mario’s Tennis, it took awhile until I got some other games for it but eventually found Teleroboxer, Red Alarm and Galactic Pinball in a 3 game lot auction! later on I got Mario’s Tennis (Japanese) and Virtual League Baseball (sealed)! and now I’m waiting for Mario Clash, Virtual Boy Wario Land, Vertical Force (Japanese), V-Tetris (Japanese… as it was only released in Japan) and Teleroboxer (which I already have Teleroboxer but the lot of games was a moneysaver so it was worth it…) to come in the mail!
I really love my Virtual Boy! 😮
other stuff: am I also the only (currently) active female member on Planet Virtual Boy?

No problem, I might complain alot and cant make games but atleast no one can say I didnt contribute to this site XD
you are better than me!
all I do on this site is make cheesy silly comments and post terrible drawings that take up PVB’s bandwidth 😛

They should have made a Virtual Girl
oh but there IS a Virtual Girl 😛
(Nintendo just didn’t know it!)
(please excuse my double-posting, I couldn’t edit my last post and I wanted to say stuff about the video)
…why did the guy sell it because “it was either I lose the girl or the system”? thats stupid! >:(
secondly, the old man complains that the VB gave him a headache at the end, but thats because none of them understand that the VB is malfunctioning and on top of that they didn’t set the focus bar or IPD dial even ONCE!
oh well, at least the Virtual Boy appeared 😀
(I’m still frustrated over that hater of a girlfriend he has! why should one have a significant other who makes them sell their game stuff?!)

Just uploaded the part on youtube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AloslXkX1rcThe best moment by far is when Taylor (the boy who is selling the VB) says who wants to play hours on the machine, Chumlee is like “I do” haha and then awkward silence
Could not find the edit button so anyways not to be rude but the person who uploaded it on megauploads did not add the last part when the old man is playing the vb so after I found the video with the extra ending I decided to upload the whole thing to youtube
Enjoy 🙂
I’m going to watch it now! (thanks everyone) 😛
I’m not sure if its safe to use a Japanese VB power tap with a US power supply of some sort or even a Japanese power supply, because I once saw on a Famicom auction that the seller warned “do not keep a Famicom plugged in for more than 2 (I think he said 2) hours in an US socket due to voltage difference”
however I’m no expert (however I did keep a Japanese Playstation plugged in more than 2 hours and it didn’t fry)

oh Blockbuster, how can Virtual Boy games be rewound? 😛

plus they’re better pets than cats 😉
like how the 3DS will be “better” than the Virtual Boy, right? 😛
(I’m sorry but my two cats are wonderful to me)
*expects a “Gameboy vs. Gamegear” debate of Cats vs. Dogs* 😉

Thank you very much for all your support and generosity! It makes running Planet Virtual Boy even more fun. Currently the site pretty much pays for itself through some tiny text ads on the front page, but one beer or another on top can’t hurt. 😀Playing Virtual Boy sober? Is there even such a thing?
That’s the reason so many folks get headaches from playing VB, it’s called a hangover. 😀Playing the VB sober is like watching a 3D movie….sober.
just don’t give any beer to the Virtual Boy itself, its only 15 years old 😉
at first I thought you meant they did a paint job on a Virtual Boy to the theme of Vertical Force!
but still, that is one awesome shiny red cart 😀
I wish I could donate! but I probably wouldn’t be allowed 🙁
so hes just doing this so he gets publicity? 😐
I favorite’d it on Youtube 😀
(I just wish someone could translate what it says though)
lol at how you guys are reacting to the 3D breasts 😛
anyways I did not vote because I’d rather wait to get both of those games on cartridge instead of playing them the alternative way… (I’m a collector and already want to collect every one of the Virtual Boy games so it wouldn’t bother me if they were somewhat mediocre)
VirtualJockey wrote:
I’d pay a premium for a 3DS with only a Red & Black display. 😛
that would be so cool if they did that (or at least a Red & Black 3DS (not the screen color but the color its painted) bundled with a cartridge full of Virtual Boy remakes! (which could have red/black play mode and new color play mode))
Welcome to Planet Virtual Boy kevster!
I hope you enjoy it here, I sure do! this is my favorite website!
as for the FlashBoy plus question I think VirtualJockey explained the FlashBoy plus pretty well, so I don’t really have anything to add… except that I want a FlashBoy someday too for all those cool looking Homebrew games… [size=xx-small]and Bound High! 😛
so what are the 5 Virtual Boy games you have? I have 5 games too! Galactic Pinball, Teleroboxer, Red Alarm, Mario’s Tennis and… Mario’s Tennis (this one would be the Japanese version, does that count as a fifth game?)
EDIT: oops, I forgot that I recently got Virtual League Baseball, so I have actually 6 Virtual Boy games!
