I was the first bidder on this! Looks like me and Ben are in for some fun. : )

I personally would love to see a port of Zombies Ate My Neighbors. I think there is a lot of potential for the 3d aspect such as elevated playing fields and simple things like the jumping on trampolines. Not to mention that the game itself is pure fun! 🙂

Two words: “Pure Awesomeness!”

It’s not likely Nike doing anything; they have a proper marketing model and little need to advertise through spambots. My guess it’s just spambots being spambots and trying to misguide you into going to a site that looks related to Nike.

That said, I’ve never seen the spam. I guess they are deleted before I arrive…

I doubted that Nike had anything to do with it. If they need advertising on a VB site, then it is too late for them lol. The odd thing is that there are no links provided, just poor english articles about various products. Kri55e is very fast about deleting them but id say they pop up atleast once a month.

Demo AC Tap:

This person seems to have multiples available as I had just received mine and they have continuously been reposting the same ad.

If it is true that they have been reposting the same ad, then I would be cautious if bidding on it and expecting to get a demo tap. Sellers with multiple taps, who reuse the same picture of one of their demo taps, are notorious for not being able to notice the difference between a standard tap box and a demo tap box, and if the seller only speaks Japanese and the prospective bidder only speaks English, trying to explain to the seller the difference between them is nearly impossible. Several people on here in the past have fallen victim to sellers selling standard taps but advertising them with photos of their out-of-stock demo taps.

I was hesitant to post this until i received mine which I did today and can verify it is indeed a demo tap. I cant be 100% sure that the rest of their stock are the demos but after getting mine and the fact that they are listed as new items makes me curious if they stumbled across a full carton of new demos?

What word is written beneath the port for the link cable, if there even is a word written there?

EXT. I believe that the playlink stamp was just on early Japanese units.

based on what i’ve seen loose carts asked for on ebay i would estimate the value more around $350 with the VB (on the low side). the issue you’ll face is that most buyers these days are collectors and they want complete in box purchases. gamers will buy loose carts, the issue being there are so many of those already that trying to sell even more won’t be quick.

-3D Tetris (US) $10
-Galactic Pinball (JPN, Box) $10-15
-Jack Bros. (JPN, Manual) $50-75 (more with box)
-Mario Clash (US) $20
-Mario Tennis (US) $2-5
-Nester’s Funky Bowling (US) $10-20
-Panic Bomber (US) $10-15
-Red Alarm (US, Box) $15
-T&E Virtual Golf (JPN, Box, Manual) $10
-Teleroboxer (US) $15-30
-V-Tetris (JPN exclusive, Box, Manual) $10
-Vertical Force (US, Manual) $15
-Wario Land (US) $30
-Virtual Professional Baseball ’95 (JPN, Box, Manual) $.99-5
-Waterworld (US, Box) $60 (more with the manual)

*estimated prices based on past ebay searches.

you might be better off listing everything as a lot. being careful to include excellent photos and a great description. xmas is right around the corner and your lot may just grab the attention of a buyer.

consider ebay over local ads. local ads will take much longer.

Ive seen all of those go for much less then the prices you quoted. I also priced the system at about $100 due to the box being beat up and it having a defective display. I try to estimate things on the lower end because ive seen numerous things that sell for much lower prices then what the average is.

Im only about 10hrs away. I would definitely be down!

Hello,

Given the info that you provided, I would estimate your lot at $200-$250 USD. Thats under the assumption that the games/boxes/manuals you listed are in good condition. In my opinion, you are not going to get anywhere near retail going through local ads. I sell games and systems quite frequently and usually the odd/rare stuff is most profitable on ebay due to a larger audience. Hope this helps.

This whole thing makes me sick. These people trying to profit off of other peoples hard work and posting them as official releases is just wrong… I really do enjoy the official look of tusks releases but seeing stuff like this makes me think we need to completely change the boxes and either have homebrew or reproduction in bold print on the boxes. At least with Timewalk releases, people have the decency to state what they are.

You know what they say, once you’ve had red and black, you never go back. 🙂

I’m about to start listing over a hundred items (Japanese Virtual Boy and NES stuff). Hopefully this time I have better results.

Well, keep on the lookout for other Mansion of Insmouse’s to appear in the near future. They actually appear somewhat regularly on that site at good prices.

Oh I’ll keep a lookout for sure! Good to hear they do appear somewhat regularly.

AAMOI this batch is a revised board. I managed to fix the comms glitch (so now any length USB cable can be used).

Not to go off topic but, is this the new PCB with the 2 8mb chips?

I just dont get it! Why bid on an item if you dont have the funds available at that time? 1/3 of my auctions so far have been an unpayed item. Now this is the 2nd time that I have been forced to relist an item because the 2nd highest bidder has no interest. Ebay needs to tighten their policy on this and get rid of these people. To make matters worse, I cant even leave negative feedback on them to warn other buyers! SMH…

First of all, I’m new to the forums so I would like to say hello to all. After several years of collecting off and on for the Virtual Boy I have finally completed my library. I have every game released in the United States in box and a boxed Virtual Boy. I also have Bound High in box which I think is actually my favorite Virtual Boy game. My collection has been almost complete for about a year but I could never find Water World boxed, American Jack Bros boxed or the American box for Mario’s Tennis. I finally found Water World and Jack Bros and just yesterday I finally got an American box for Mario’s Tennis. If anyone would like to see pictures let me know and I can post some. I’m really proud because this is the first (and probably only) time that I’ve actually collected all the games for a console, and I have the boxes and manuals to boot!

Congrats on the collection and welcome! You could always purchase a flashboy + and be able to enjoy all of those Japan only releases. You can even purchase a box to make it CIB. 🙂
