I’m yet again revisiting this entry and am still blown away.

I will go out on a limb to say that id gladly put down a decent bit of cash to see this in complete form.

Fundraiser anyone?

Awesome!

Runnerpack: if you have done/were to do a small run of these available for purchase as drop-in replacements, id buy some for backup.

Some of the best NOS ive ever seen.

whatever. i ordered one

now that is interesting, not only that its surfaced but to see how they have done the ‘click’ in location on the sides.
I might have to incorporate that into my link cable plug design.

speaking of, how is progress coming along on your link cable?

Meaning an old pci usb card/usb header may be at fault.

This is obviously less likely

i do not understand what you said. no matter the port i use the cable is always a factor. the only cable that has ever worked has been the one supplied by richard.

First, i’m sure your atleast using USB 2.0 ports.

Second, i did have issues with longer cables as well. I tried the cable supplied with a seagate freeagent go with success. Upon trying it with a USB extension, it failed to write half the time. I then used the cable attached to a powered hub with success.

Cable length is a factor only when the port used is no longer capable (atleast in my case). Laptop in corner, 3.5v powered usb hub running to powered port on keyboard, using cable supplied with portable HDD, flashes fine all the time.

I had never noticed this entry before. I feel the need to echo that which has already been said numerous times – a real shame we never saw the light of day on this game’s final form.

In the past decade, ive owned two used VBs that i parted with. Very recently, i acquired a brand new one, immediately opened it, and shoved a Flashboy loaded with Bound High in.

Does that make your blood boil? 😀

I think we are really close. Real life just keeps getting in the way. It seems like when Hedgetrimmer has free time, I’m swamped… and vice versa. I think we’ve been through ~25 revisions (though we’ve probably only actually made 5 or 6 of those).

I don’t see any reason that we wouldn’t make both a VB<->VB and PC<->VB cable. I have cables, pins, and PCBs… we just need a final connector shell.

Well obviously beggars can’t be choosers, especially in this scene, so take all the time you gents need. Nobody pushing for a deadline here.

Like recently stated – there has been an influx of some pretty badass VB products these last few years, so naturally the excitement is still freshly flowing for more.

The VB to USB cable gained my attention more than anything. Just its concept reminds me of this recent endeavor & what it could/should have been:

https://github.com/mupfelofen-de/SNESoIP

with an upcoming release on a 32Mb cart in mind, that of which is to utilize the link cable(?), the fact is still ambiguous (with me atleast) as to if we will see one or both link cable designs – gamelink to gamelink and/or gamelink to usb

Looking awesome, Richard!

I have added him and am awaiting his return invite so that i may message him on the subject.

Are any other efforts underway?

Any hope for a save game function?

Would love to do some Pokemon RED, long term.

What’s that case there KJ?? Looks like some fancy, color-matched homemade one 🙂

And what is that giant Game Boy thing Arvester?

A quick Google of the number on there reveals it’s a generic case for AV equipment.

Correct. HPRC2600F case.

Imo, $150+ for the blockbuster case is now ridiculous for anything but collecting.

Please, have at it:

oh my, i cant believe its finally here! no batt. backup…se la vi

hmm, i hope i check back regularly enuf to order one 🙂

good thing i didnt hold my breath ;P

just kidding, but really i am excited now. maybe this can be my excuse for more vb time even with college
