I like the idea of us celebrating all together. How does the following sound?

Let’s make the entire next year the year of the Virtual Boy! The year in which we celebrate PVB turning 15 in January and of course the Virtual Boy’s 20th birthday the entire rest of the year.

It’s up to the community to do whatever they like to celebrate. Homebrew projects, highscore competitions, artwork competitions, remixes of VB game music, video productions, ROM hacks… anything.

We probably should have a special “channel” for this kind of stuff, maybe a separate forum or special forum tag?

The download script was having problems with larger files (> 10MB), because the authors did not do a flush() after each read chunk of data. Fixed that and downloads should now work without problems. 🙂

So, this thing is the Virtual Boy adapter for a multi-system dumper called “Win Hong Kong”. Seems this the first and only commercially available dumper that ships with a VB adapter.

Awesome… congrats! You got a pretty good deal on it IMO. I’ve seen debuggers sell for that, without a link cable and without the SCSI card.

It seems he simply lost interest in collecting VB. No reason to worry, this won’t affect Planet VB in any way.

You can change your display name, yes. In the top left dropdown menu, select “Edit Profile”.

Must be a misprint, I don’t think the V810 was even available at 10 MHz. The official docs speak of at least 16 MHz.

I’ve talked to a collector about this cart before and according to him this is not really a VB interface. More likely, Nintendo just reused VB connectors for some kind of debugging interface connection.

Finally beat it with Rosalina and two Tanooki Suits. That was a really tough but very well designed level! Beating it is basically like learning the perfect choreography to dash through the level, step by step. Always perfecting the earler parts a bit more and getting a bit farther. I don’t know if I want to beat it with the other characters as well though, I would probably prefer to have a walk through Mordor with my feet tied together. 😉
