Ah cool, is it like in the GBA version? Did you take a screenshot?

I agree, game pad support would be great, also the ability to emulate two VBs at once and play link games against each other sounds like a great idea!

Other (not that important) things I can think off are:
* Video/sound recording
* screenshot capture options like format, size, pallet…

And of course, all the nice things RB and RD had to offer, like the cheats system or the debugging options.

Hey Paul, welcome to the community!

To start learning how the VB works, I’d suggest reading David Tucker’s VB Programming Manual.
Then you should download and install gccVB and start with looking at the available source codes. By playing around with them and modifying them you learn writing programs for the VB pretty fast.

The VB is a pretty straight platform, it is extremely easy to program for it, you don’t need much more than some basic programming knowledge to get good results. Blox, for example, is not much more than a bunch of variables, ifs and loops, in which graphics are moved over the screen ;P

All the docs, programs etc you need can be found in the Progamming section of PVB.

Moved to the dev board.

I’ve set up a test applet here: <http://www.nintendoid.de/test/>.

The image (provided by koteshi) is in red/blue/green though, because there seemed to be problems with RD with Cyberscope and red pallet…

Anyway, Koteshi is trying to get RD to output red screens, meanwhile it would be cool if people could test the applet with different glasses and see if it looks good 🙂

EDIT: I upped a better image

Great news. So I will use the Stereoscope Applet! I think I will just place a “3-D” button near the red, shown by default screenshots which opens the applet.

I’ve found a good applet called “Stereoscope Applet”, I need to try it out when I am at home. It uses JPS, but I can also use two seperate GIFs.
If you find any other good (maybe less complex and/or better integrated and/or PNS supporting) applets or plugins please let me know 🙂

OK, I think I will do it the “red by default + optional anaglyph version” way. It would also be nice to have other stereoscopic versions of the screenshots, like Red/Blue, would it be possible to convert anaglyph screens to R/B or other 3-D variants?

I don’t think it will work, the VB is much to heavy… Maybe better take some sort of helmet or so. Then there also isn’t the sacrileg of destroing a Famicon 3D system 😉

The backgrounds will be darker “in reality”, it’s just the JPEG compression that makes the text hard to read…

I’d be interested in what you want for the Usercenter, which will be a central element of the site. My Ideas right now are:
* My Profile
* My Collection
* My Highscores
* My Sales/Trades
* My Submissions
* Private Messages
* Avatar
for every user. Plus the ability to submit and comment news.

Yeah, John Frusciante is great! I like all of his albums very much, despite the one featuring Josh Klinghoffer ;P I’d say my favorite is “The Will to Death”, but I don’t have got the DC EP…

Well, it was made before the LinkCable idea was cancelled. Too bad…. but somehow it’s cool to see a promo for the VB’s 2-player feature 😉

BTW, welcome to Heppner, our 100th member :thumbup:

I’m sorry, but the game has been on hold for like the last 2 years, since I have not heard anything again from the story writer 🙁

Ich hab sie auch, aber danke, sind sogar schon auf PVB. Sollten zumindest, denn wie ich grad sehe, ist die HTML zwar da, aber die Pics fehlen ~_? Muss ich mal uppen wenn ich zuhause bin.

That’s definitely a good idea… but most people don’t have anaglyph glasses and without glasses, those screens don’t look very good, so I think I better stick to red.

Another option would be red screens by default with optional other, stereoscopic versions of that screenshot which can be selected via links at the side of a screenshot.

That’d mean pausing the emulation for each screenshot, then change emulation options and press P, though. Or would there be a quicker way, maybe a RD hack?

~_?

Hey, it’s MY body! >:Q
But thanks for moving the thread 😉

Good question. Moved the thread.

Hi! Das geht natürlich auch, die Chinch-Stecker sind ja eigentlich nur dafür da, den Controller und den Trafo bei Bedarf zu trennen. Welche Farbe an welchen Pin muss, muss du dir halt anhand der Pole überlegen, hab grad leider keine Zeit selbst nachzugucken.
