Are there any plans to release a new Flash Boy or will this design strictly be used for future homebrew reproductions?

No, it’s just for a new homebrew (everyone know’s what it is without saying).

It was specifically made for it. Although I’m sure it will come in handy for future games / compilations etc.

HorvatM did me a nice utility for splitting code across the 2 16MBit chips.

Now for some 32Mbit games

One exists already 😉

Here’s something new – my 32MBit repro board –

So I guess we don’t have to worry about ever running out of donor carts?

We do, because the connector cannot be homebrewed.

Eric’s got plenty of stock of BNIB carts to last a while. We have a few options after that to keep it going.

I think Richard has printed some cartridge shells… and maybe even sent out some Flashboys with printed shells?

I’ve been doing it for a while now. I also 3D print the cases for my Vectrex cart. It saves a lot of work cutting and modding existing cases.

I don’t remember if it ever has been printed

Hedgetrimmer did two versions. A copy of the original and a simplified one.

I 3D printed both but was unable to find my tripod to test them on.

Right, finally got into the console to check out the weird display glitch I’m experiencing.

The left display image is continually shrinking and expanding, and every so often, goes out altogether (for about 0.5 sec).

I’m looking at the vibrating mirror now. It’s speeding up and slowing down but never getting into sync.

Anyone seen this before ?

That is the one!

Thanks, I’ve just ordered one from there.

I’ve been wowing all week on a new VB game.

Anyone know what’s happened to his page ?

I see you managed to sell the Gundam translated for $250.

Mindblowing !

Glad to see you back !

(let me do that project for you)

With these, we’re using pins from female USB sockets… soldered to a PCB that holds them in place inside the shell.

Do you have a photo ?

AAMOI what are you using for the contacts on these prototypes ?

I have no problem with that.

The donors will be much appreciated (as I’ve ‘borrowed’ some of Eric’s to make the FB+’s).

$250 for Gundam translated – wow, that’s gone up in value in a short time.

If you want a new one, I’m building a batch this week.

AAMOI what size is the final ROM ?

there was talk about upgrading the reproduction carts

I’ve got a PCB designed for 32MBit games if that’s any good ?

PM minestorm, who makes the FB+’s. I don’t know what the current status is

I’m infront with the repro’s at the moment. So, as soon as I get more FB+ PCB’s, I’ll be building enough to cover the back-order list (which is large). I have a week off work soon so I’ll complete them then.

The wording did make it sound like it was some sort of official release. Quite clever that.

Anyway, all future repro’s will be either homebrew or un-released titles (like Dragon Hopper etc).
