I hope the english patch makes a difference for me. I’ve only tried the Japanese version very briefly and I thought my head was gonna explode. lol

I did some things like those when I uncovered images of a scrapped character in the rom. So maybe one day.
That is too cool! I would love to hear more/see more about it one day! Leave it to you to find some cool stuff lurking in the game code 🙂

That would be amazing to see the game with the new character added, and lessened difficulty. Maybe add an option on the start screen for easy and hard modes?
Agreed!
I am dreading capturing footage for the next episode. It’s gonna be on SD Gundam Dimensions War and I suck something fierce at tactical RPGs. I don’t even know where to begin lol. I wanted to save Wario Land for last so I could end the main series on a high note with the console’s best game (IMO).

I wanna see a hack with lessened difficulty as well cause I cannot ever get past the second challenger.
Yeah I was dying for a difficulty hack or even a level select hack. Spokong is a real bastard. Prin with her booby attack was funny though lol
I was really impressed with the 3D in the game, too! I just wish it wasn’t so damn hard haha. Spokong/Big Rick are the biggest assholes in the game lol. Even the cat wasn’t THAT hard after some practice.

Thank you so much Cpt. F (and your associate)! People like you both are so important to gaming history and preservation. I hope the cart dumper can get to you ASAP.
I lost my damn mind over this. I was up until midnight screwing around with it just so I could see how many weird wild Pokemon I ran into. I heard there’s work to make this into a full game so here’s hoping.
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one thinking the same about potential holy grails being found when collectors that keep it to themselves, pass away.
I’m just so damn grateful the person that wound up with it after the collector passed, had enough insight to publicly dump it.
My game kept giving me Chikorita as my starter but others I saw with Cyndaquil’s old form.

It actually just shocked me when I saw what the average loose copy goes for on eBay.I can’t believe what has happened to VB collecting in the last 6 years, prices have basically doubled for some games (IE: Waterworld) and went half price (IE: Virtual Fishing) for others.
Researching for the series has made me come to this realization too. It’s crazy.
Amazing! Thank you mysterious benefactors for allowing this to continue!! <3
Oops! So I have! That guy’s channel is pretty awesome too though lol It must not have copied correctly.
Here’s the correct link:

I can’t wait to see the final product! You got this going and finished fairly quick.
I had no idea, Chris! Thanks for sharing the info. This is all going to be so useful when I eventually cover the prototype games on my channel. 🙂
I’m sorry I wasn’t able to really contribute. I wish I had a job so I could throw you guys money for these projects. Good luck with job hunting. It’s the biggest hurdle.

Is there anything in particular I could attempt to capture that would be especially helpful?
The best I have been able to do was to record with my cell phone camera lens right up against one eye of the VB. You may find better fitment of your phone if you remove the eye shade (at least in my experience it helps). Make sure the room is absolutely pitch black and if not, toss a towel over the console (leaving the phone screen visible so you can still play).

Thanks RetroNintendoNerd :)… Buuuut I’ve still only about halfway through (I’ll get there though).
Consider it an early congratulations lol. I know you’ll finish with flying colors 😉

RetroNintendoNerd: thank you for your wishes as well and You and me both sister! what about a VB for sedation now that’s the best!
That would be amazing! We can dream! lol

The only real way to know is to either rom dump it for comparison or just play it.
Yes, the next problem being my VB is experiencing display issues which I hope to address in the next week or two.
Then playing it and deciphering if the know bugs are present or not?
I played through several levels with no obvious issues before the display really crapped out. Though I am new to this game and was not attempting to identify bugs.
If you’re close to Lynnwood, WA and want to give it a go on a working VB, you’re welcome to come by my place and give it ago (as well as any other games you wanna try out). I can always load up the dumped version on my FlashBoy+ and we could do a side by side comparison (I have 2 VBs)
Glad to see you were able to get pictures and sign up without a problem! I hope everyone here can help you get the answers you’re looking for!
