Comparing the Game.com to the Virtual Boy is Blasphemy! 😀

One of the problems with Game.com was because it was made by the notoriously crap company Tiger Electronics, and also because the screen was SO bad.
I think pretty much every Best Buy had a display unit up too.

The problem with VB is that everyone complaining never played it, just jumped on the Hate bandwagon as news spread like wildfire that the VB would give you headaches/make you color-blind/cause your child to explode etc etc. The problem with Game.com is that people did play it. 😉

Any chance there are some unclaimed FlashBoy PLUS units for sale at MSRP? 😯

With the consistently high demand on the ebay market for FlashBoys, I’m surprised you don’t sell more on there often.

Do you guys think I should remove the Killer Instinct pin off the vest? It obviously didn’t come with it, but it also has history being that a Nintendo rep had it on there. I kinda’ feel like the Killer Instinct badge takes away from the 100% VB awesomeness.

I used to think they were very fragile. Vibrating mirrors, left/right eye ribbon cables.

About a month ago my JPN VB (in the 133k serial range) took a drop 4 feet onto a shallow stiff carpet. I thought it was done for.
Powered her on, she works fine, no glitchy eyes even.

I think I was just lucky, the parts seems very sensitive in nature. I have 3 VBs at my house, so I just tried to pretend it didn’t happen.

I have a NOS VB unit that I de-virginized that got a glitchy eye in less than 48 hours with nothing but pure pampering. If You have a NOS VB unit, please take serious care with the IPD adjustment knob.

This question interested me, so I shot a quick film at 720p 60Hz on my American camera. The video flickers a lot, but doesn’t go blank. I’m definitely not getting quality video.

Wiki says the VB has a 50.2 Hz Horizontal Scan Rate, which should go perfect with European 50Hz products one would think.
