New arrival 😉
I plan on keeping this grail but would definitely entertain very serious offers. Packaging is opened along two edges, original R-Zone Football instructions are included. I believe this is the only example of packaging that’s ever surfaced which is pretty cool for this mythical title. How many loose copies have ever surfaced of this game before, one?

Was browsing the internet and found a small low quality image of VR Troopers in package! I’m not surprised that it’s a pack-in, now we know. 🙂

Innovation Virtual Boy AC Adapter for $2.99 + shipping.

Yeah, I saw that auction. Just marketed as an Snes adapter it seems.

I’m certain that L_E_T would disagree, but I say give it a go if you plan to keep it.
Please take warning that NOS VB consoles are especially susceptible to getting the glitchy line problem since the ribbon cables haven’t moved in 17 years , so adjust the IPD knob very slowly and once you find the sweet spot for your eyes don’t touch it again.

You might be best off selling your NOS unit and buying a used complete one for cheaper.

If they have any extra free time, they listen to hip-hop

i’ve been listening to indy, underground hip-hop, and groups that are now much bigger, for going on 20 years. i listen to hip-hop from all around the world and i did it before it became something “cool” to do. Hip-hop makes up a majority of my listening time (about 8hrs a day) but I also enjoy Jazz, Blues, Metal, Funk, R&b, Chiptunes, Folk, etc, etc…

i am also an avid homebrew proponent and a collector of classic video game experiences.

i don’t appreciate it when a genre of music is grouped with the undesirable actions of a few. the modern “rap” music that plays on the radio is not hip-hop. hip-hop is something that a large majority of kids these days do not understand, appreciate, or are even aware exists.

I was trying to refer to the stereotype of loudly listening to rap or whatever on headphones in public while *simultaneously* playing angry birds. My intent was to generalize and insult the masses of rich yuppie kids that go around ragging on every classic game/console almost any chance they get.

Maybe somebody used an incorrect AC adapter and fried the voltage regulator?

Congrats! You can still enjoy it in a dark room at night until you can find an extra eyeshade. 🙂

I have never met a single person that has played a VB and understood that you need to adjust the IPD/Focus that disliked the VB.

Ignorant mob mentality is the main reason that the VB is disliked. Let the haters hate. kids these days just want their emo hair, pretend that they are popular because of facebook friends, and spend most their time playing online FPS games while proving to themselves & the world that they learned some bad words. If they have any extra free time, they listen to hip-hop and play Angry Birds on their smart phone.

Also, don’t be too upset about YouTube comments in general. I have seen some of the worst comments on the entire internet made there. I’m a bit shocked that YouTube never cracked down on all the racist & vulgar trolls.

This is an awesome contest, but there’s no way I could possibly beat some of Ben’s scores. >:(

Do you want them loose or boxed?
Boxed and complete in good condition, I’d say you can sometimes get Space Squash/Nester’s for about $60 each, and 3D Tetris for around $80.

Somebody correct me if I’m wrong, I’m not all too keen on current pricing.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. She got out of surgey a little over an hour ago. I hope that I’ll get to speak with her on the phone tonight or tomorrow morning. For now I’m just relieved.

There’s a VB Vest in really clean condition up on ebay right now:

Here’s a funny little find. Korean Snes multicart with VB Jack Bros artwork:

Unfortunately, there are no VB games on the cart but instead a bunch of NES games.

Still, this would be an interesting item to put in your VB display. 😉

Just wanted to note that the Platform Display is no longer available and has a sale pending. Thanks everyone. 🙂

Pretty cool

I saw this awhile ago, very cool. 🙂
I’m not sure if I ever posted about it.

I’m not sure what the going rate for a Platform display is, so I’m open to reasonable offers. The last one that sold on eBay went for $750 Best Offer and was in worse condition, but I’m not looking for that much.
As for shipping costs to Canada, I have no clue. Weight of actual unit with AC adaptor is 9 pounds 15.3oz. I imagine packaging will add an extra 2 pounds. Shipping would probably be safer if the left and right flyer wing attachments and the console were detached for shipping. The wings are attached with 4 Phillips screws each (all same size screws), and the console simply can be removed/attached to the stand with the included keys. Neither of the displays exhibit the glitchy line problem, and Mario’s Tennis is included(you can change it to any game you wish by removing the console from the stand).

PM’d…

PM replied. I’ll box up the display for shipping so I’ll have the actual shipping weight + dimensions so that I can give out firm shipping quotes.

Thx alot guys… sadly i don’t have a virtual boy – i live in the uk and its hard to import stuff cheaply – plus i dont have the money anyways… thanks sooo much!!

The people above are pulling your leg.
The VB is made of Candy, Kitten sneezes, Christmas presents, an autographed Chuck Norris photo, puppy kisses, Ice Cream and fireworks. There might be some ABS and Polystyrene in the mix, but not enough to matter. 😉

I may be interested – any pics? What would you be asking for it?
I am in Canada…
Thanks!
