Technically: Yes
Realistically: No

However unlikely I would so love to have one, especially if they pulled a Starfox 2 with Dragon Hopper and Zero Racers. We can dream..

Ha, congrats! It does look like you had fun taking the pictures! I agree, that’s an entirely appropriate way to celebrate =P I only wish I thought of it first!

That is pretty cool, like a much higher quality version of those LED spinners you used to see (in Disney land for some reason is where I saw them..)

Actually I looked through the item history for the seller, the dude has sold multiple CIB copies, as well as many other repros.
Minestorm is right, I thought it was an original release because it looks identical to one. But no, I guess someone is ripping off all the assets, and reproducing them verbatim without credit to the people who originally made them. The real kick in the balls is the $425 premium that particular game gets over say a Bound High CIB he makes. If you’re going to milk the market using other peoples hard work/investment, it would sure make it less of a dick move if maybe you contacted them and offered a bit of the cut, hmm?

To be clear, I have no problem with someone supplying the demand for a market. It’s when sneaky/dirty tactics are used, like taking assets without permission, or doing so while also taking advantage of an items market price.

Here are some updated pictures of my stuff. It’s nothing huge but it’s my own lol

Are you….bathing in Virtual Boy stuff?

Sounds like you’re covering some serious ground. Keep it up, man, it’s awesome!

Sorry, I didn’t mean to make it sound like I was talking about any specific sale. In fact I thought that one posted recently was a legit copy, guy could have had 2, completely possible. If he keeps selling them then I’d start wondering =P

I just don’t think it’s cool when other peoples work is ripped off for profit. At least ask to see if it’s ok, and give credit.

This isn’t just sensitivity over Hyper Fighting, it’s a matter of someone forging someone elses work to make a profit, without the original makers consent. It’s just a dick move and not cool.

As for Hyper Fighting specifically, it’s especially touchy as it was a commissioned game that a lot of money went into to making. It was never publicly for sale because, well, come on, it’s literally SF2, and no one wants to deal with copyright stuffs. Because of this it wasn’t funded by a huge group of people, but mostly one person. People get especially butt hurt over it because it takes a special kind of asshole to take a game with that sort of history and rip it off for a profit. Because of the crazy artificial value it’s also inherited, it’s an extra kick in the nuts for the people who made this possible, because we all know damn well how much it costs to make a reproduction. The real work went into making the rom the forgers burn onto it.

Aww damn, how did I completely miss Virtual Bowling?? Oh well, hopefully there will eventually be a restock

Ho-ly CRAP a VB Camera would be so cool. No glare from the sun, perfect shots every time! Just get some slightly higher resolution cameras and have them sorta 90 degree up out of the cartridge slot (which thinking of it would look amazing, like the VB grew a pair of eyes).

Wow, nice find! It’s crazy there’s stuff beyond the documented stuff that you can do with the CPU. Especially finding out about it 23ish years after the console released!

You might be in luck. It was made my Mad Catz and called the Camera Link. I never had on and it would be useless to me now… like a Dex Drive for the N64.

Oh cool, good find!

Checking on ebay, these things aren’t too common. The only one on ebay, and it’s not exactly cheap either..

Didn’t someone already make a GB link to parallel port cable and software to simulate the GB printer? That seems like a much cheaper and easier way to do this (assuming you still have a PC with a parallel port kicking around). You could probably port the software to the Arduino, actually.

I couldn’t find that, but there’s some printer and camera info on this page: http://www.devrs.com/gb/software.php

Surprisingly, the Wikipedia article documents the printer protocol: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_Boy_Printer#Game_Boy_Printer_Protocol

I just so happen to have an old Windows 95 laptop =P

I’ll try to find what you’re talking about, because that sounds like a better option for me. If I could get my pictures off there cheaply I’d go for it, otherwise, a printed version will suffice =P

Sweet deal, glad to see this finally happening!

Wow, it’s crazy this exists. Is it worth 100 bucks to get my photos off my camera..hmmm

You were able to reproduce it quite faithfully, good job!

I’ve actually already contacted him about these to make him aware of their existance. From what I remember him telling me they don’t yet have a means to back-up VB ROMs/Saves.

I wish they had Dragon Hopper. The day I busted out HF, Space Pinball, FaceBall, and a few HB carts, I hoped he would have matched me with hands-on time with DH. LOL.

Oh good idea!

We can all dream, can’t we? 🙂

Wait, what?!? You mean 100% joking, not just joking about the bugging him part, right?

Naah, 100% joking about them having it. More wishful thinking I guess =P

What museum is that

Strong National Museum of Play.

Borman can have one as long as he promises to dump the Dragon Hopper cart they have

(totally joking, don’t bug him about it =P)

It even animates? Oh man, love it!
