I also go to other forums with more traffic in the marketplace and I know where you’re coming from. Like I said, I’m not trying to be a dick or anything, stuff just doesn’t get buried here quite like busier forums.

Ok no offense intended here, you’re probably not used to the more quaint nature of this forum. This isn’t really the type of place that warrants a service thread bumped on a weekly basis. In the Main Virtual Boy forum, literally the third stickied topic down is a repair thread with your name in it. If you find this thread actually gets buried past page 1 by all means bump, but judging by the other threads in the marketplace it takes around 2 months :p

This reminds me of the stickers on NFR carts. Definitely cool to see the alternate name on there!

Holy crap, it exists! This is a fantastic find!

Only hope someday the legal worries will pass and this gets out there. Would love to see a previously unseen game!

Well it was a recreation of a tiny blurry picture, because that’s all we had to go by at the time. I think they did an admirable job for what they had to work with

Wow, amazing stuff. What a quick development!

This is definitely an interesting development! Going from just design documents to the possibility of an actual playable copy of the game being made is exciting. Hopefully we can track down some more info!

Good score, Ben!

That does seem to be the latest version of the ROM released, but I don’t believe it’s the final version.

Yeah I wasn’t too sure if there was a version after that or not, it didn’t really seem like it reading the posts.

Not a problem guys/gals! We got this. Did one sell for 1300?

No, it didn’t sell, but some guy on ebay has listed one for that price. Amazingly.

Edit: what she said ^^

Sweet, I’ll snatch one and flip it for $1300 ^_^

Lol, JK. Thanks for keeping things trickling out Uncle Tusk! It always nice to see something to give those scalpers a kick in the nuts.

Jeez, I get tired of relisting items after 2 or 3 times, haha.

$1300???? Wow, some people.. Dude’s trying to pull a Hyper Fighting or something. Unfortunately for him Insecticide doesn’t quite have the brand recognition of Street Fighter 2.

My goal before I die and leave this place called earth, is to own two back-to-back floor model displays with a link cable, and I was just saying to myself hmm…” maybe I should just settle for two back-to-back counter displays with a link cable”, but HOLY SHIT!!! There’s already a bid for over $1500! I don’t want it that bad, but good luck to who ever wins it.

It is in good shape though…

I’d settle for just one of these displays(floor or counter). But the cost + shipping to an island in Canada usually kills that idea though..

I’ve been playing the crap out of that game since the hack released. They did such a good job! I also enjoyed the the SMB1 color hack too. It’s great to lay in bed with the ol SP and play these great games but in color.
I hope people keep making “DX” mods for old B&W gameboy games, it’s such a great idea.

If you don’t feel like building anything from scratch, look into shot glass displays. They are usually perfect for most smaller games for handhelds.

I like building things though 🙂

Thanks for the idea though, I’ll look into it anyway, nice to have options.

That is a neat idea! I don’t think I have the patience to do that with all my games though..

I was planning on building sort of like a picture frame with little “shelves” built in, so I can line them all up in the frame and hang the whole thing on the wall. I was thinking without a glass front so I could just pull a game out if I wanted to play it.

Yeah, Centipede has Q*bert, and Q*bert has Centipede… 08 Joust has Defender, which most likely will be “09”. I heard #10 Rampage was too big to fit another rom in it, but I’m very curious to know if there’s another rom hidden inside of 06 Frogger. I can’t find any videos of people hacking that one yet.

Ok excellent, I’m not crazy. I coulda swore I read it somewhere then I couldn’t find the info again 😛

Isn’t there a jumper in two of these to turn one of them into a different one? I want to say Centipede and one of the other ones. I guess the two have identical boards with both games on them, and just a jumper which dictates which actually gets booted.
