Nice find!
Let´s see what they dig out. A dragon hopper cartridge?? 🙂 🙂

Just for the sake of completeness:
I got two more reprocards with save feature now, Space Squash and V-Tetris.
Space Squash with save patch 1.2, works perfectly, V-Tetris with save patch 1.1. (seems like only been released here and not on github) works, but during erasing the save by pressing L + R + Left D-Pad Down + Right D-Pad Down on the title screen the game freezes and one need to restart the console. But after that the save has been reset and everything works fine again.

EDIT: Got now also Waterworld with save patch 1.1. The highscore saves well, but you can´t delete it. The combination L + R + Left D-Pad Down + Right D-Pad Down on the title screen does not do anything.

EDIT 2: In preparation of some more reprocards with save feature I tested the save patch 1.0 for Vertical Force (US version). It does not work correctly since the hi-score only displays “M6865600” and the best time shows “99:59:59:98”.
With the save patch 1.1 from page 2 everything works correctly on my HF32 flashcart.

Why is my Hyperflash32 not recognising this game? It just does not appear in my games list…

EDIT: Looks like the filename was too long. I shortened it and now my Hyperflash32 recognises this game 🙂

I get the error “procedure entry point “discardvirtualmemory” not found in the DLL VUEngine.exe”.
Is my windows OS too old? I am on Win 8.1 Pro 64-bit.

Well I exchanged the ribbon cables and gladly everything now works perfect again 🙂

But there was no playable prototype, was it?

Yep, Elevated Speed is for me one of the best looking games on the VB. Can´t wait for the release!

@ Vague Rant: do you plan to release more save patches in the future? I am not sure how far you progress with Space Invaders has been, but this is one game I would be interested in.

Thank you very much for the detailed response 🙂

I can at least say that:
– yes, this ribbon cable has been resoldered too, but I had this issue already before resoldering, although not that visible and on a slightly different position
– I reopened my VB, detached the ribbon and unscrewed its LED-PCB, blew cautiously into the direction of the mirror, cleaned the transparant housing of the LED-array with a soft cloth (it was not dirty before but I did it nevertheless), rescrewed it, reassembled everything and now the “scratch” is less visible and a bit shifted to the right end of the screen.

Overall I think I will leave it as it is for now.

I have exactly the same issue with my 2nd Virtual Boy. Sound works great, mirrors move flawlessly but no image at all on both displays.
I assume the links above should forward to this page?
https://www.projectvb.com/vb/displayfix.html
Is it always the ribbon cable or can the LED-array itself be dead?

Looks nice!
I am using a simple 3d printed cartridge holder:

My first set of reprocards with save feature has arrived!
Jack Bros. with save patch 1.4 and Mario Clash with button swap and patch 1.2 (so demo mode not working correctly, but this is okay).
You can´t see the saving feature from the outside, sure 😉 But especially Mario Clash is a whole new experience with the progress being saved after every level. It is really fun and addictive this way!

Very nice!
If you are a fan of Mario Clash check the Vintex64 site in the next few weeks. They should add a save feature edition of Mario Clash, where the progress is saved (and the highscores). So you have to clear every level to get the new one, starting from level 1 up to level 99. This is possible due to Vague Rant´s save patch recently released.

So i have tested both versions (proto and board) and everything works (adventure mode, score attack and pocket & ..).
I have attached my saves.

Now we only need someone with VERY good connections in Japan 😉

Very interesting, especially this: “Maybe even a prototype was made. We also held demos within the company”.

Btw, I have just seen this page from the Human Club Dec´ 1995, I think it is quite unknown.
